This low-standing, steel fire pit will provide 360 degrees of wood-burning fire. It has three legs, as well as handles, so it can easily be manoeuvred around the garden and you can cook food over it if you want.
This fire pit is an attractive option if you don’t like the look of an ugly gas cylinder as it neatly stores away inside the fire pit unit. You can control the size of the flames and, unlike wood-burning models, there won’t be any unpleasant smoke or cleaning up of ash afterwards. Patio heaters are powered by gas or electric and come in all shapes and sizes. You can also find heaters for a wide range of budgets. Once they were burning, we walked toward each pit until we could feel noticeable heat, then circled them to see how even the distribution was and how much it was affected by wind. We also looked at them through a Flir infrared camera to see if there were any concerning hot spots on the fire pits’ bodies. There are many fire pit models to choose from and these are determined by the fuel they require; you can opt for wood burning, natural gas, propane gas or Bio ethanol for gel fires. Size and weight
A BBQ fire pit is a great multifunctional tool, in that you can use it for flame-grill cooking as well as warmth (perfect if you're short on space). It makes an interesting centrepiece for any garden event, and if you opt for a larger than average pit, it can accommodate food for big parties. To understand how smokeless fire pits work you first need to know what creates smoke. When a fire doesn’t completely combust its fuel, the unburned oils, tar, ash, and carbon become smoke. When a fire has enough oxygen to completely burn the fuel all that’s produced is water and carbon dioxide. This does exactly what it says on the tin. It's designed with a fire pit in the centre of a table where you can place drinks and food – great for keeping your guests warm while you're socialising outdoors. We found the firebox to be a little shallow at eight inches, but we were able to get two layers of logs loaded in. This meant re-loading a little more frequently, but that had no bearing on its smoke-free performance. Most are powered with bio-ethanol, which means it won’t create smoke and should be easy to switch on and off. It should also have some type of safety screen or glass surrounding it.
