I found this book whilst trawling through Libby for an insomnia-friendly title (not too scary or I'd have nightmares later, not too slow or else I'd get frustrated and wake up more). Podkin quickly realizes it’s time to step up to the plate and be the warrior he never aspired to be. The World Of Podkin One-Ear (Longburrow in the US) is a series of epic children’s fantasy stories set in a world of rabbits.

It is a children’s book, so I am left wondering whether some of the elements weren’t explored as much because of the nature of children’s books, or whether they’re left for the sequels. He moved to the UK when he was 2 and lived in various places before settling on the Isle of Wight where he can still be found: exploring rockpools, climbing trees and writing - slowly disappearing behind a mountain of notebooks and empty coffee mugs. Uki must dodge the Endwatch, the Shrikes, Clan Septys and the guards and find a way to complete his quest before all is lost.
