About this deal

P. serratifolia Pink Crispy– bright pink young leaves that are later marbled light and dark green. White flowers in summer, followed by small red fruits.

P. villosa– small deciduous treewith white flowers in early summer, red fruits, and red/orange autumn foliage. Dislikes chalky/alkaline soil. The ground should be clean and free from weeds and grass. This gives the new plants a good chance to get established. If the area you are going to plant them in has grass or weeds, the ground should be sprayed off a week or so before planting to avoid any competition. To help prevent too many weeds appearing after you have planted your hedge, I find it a good idea to put your grass clippings or mulch around the plants as this smothers out the weeds and helps prevent the plants drying out. DepthPhotinia Red Robin is a versatile and visually appealing plant that can be used as a specimen shrub, a hedge, or a screen. With proper care and maintenance, it can be a vibrant and attractive addition to your garden or landscape. Sunlight: Photinia Red Robin thrives in full sun to partial shade. It tends to develop the most vibrant foliage colors when exposed to direct sunlight. Hi Alan, Yes all (Photinia Red Robin Trees) received, very pleased indeed. Well worth the wait. She has settled into her new home down the side fence very well :) Thank you very much Ben

Mulch: Apply a layer of organic mulch around the base of the plant to help retain soil moisture and suppress weeds. Mulch can also protect the plant's roots from temperature extremes. Should you require a specific delivery date, let us know in advance and we will arrange for your delivery to arrive on your required date. Red Robin trees can be pruned hard at any time without damage as they are considered the Rambo equivalent of trees. This is one of the reasons why it has been awarded the RHS Award Of Garden Merit. We strongly advise you to prune hard for at least the next couple of seasons for trees below 2m or 4 years old. This will force your Red Robin to bush out even more. This will also ensure that older growth is not long and spindly which would make it prone to snow loading and wind damage. Your Red Robin tree may turn up looking scalped, this is because we have hard pruned it for you. Prune up to three times a year making the last one around August to ensure new growth is not subjected to cold and frosts. We don’t sell Red Robin bare rooted at the moment as we feel they are better coming from a pot or root wrapped as there more likely to grow into a stronger plant and less chance of the plant dying. Planting tips Distance apart: We have now started using a new type of pot with many of our trees, and these new containers are called 'slot pots'. This type of pot is much better than the conventional container because it is specifically designed to stop the roots from spiraling in the pot, and thus preventing the tree from becoming pot bound. The slot pots create a healthy root system that is perfect for re-planting, which therefore encourages your newly-planted trees to settle into their new environment.October 2015: Photinia Red Robin trees are great, thank you, very impressed with the quality and perfect for what I need them for.

June 2016 "I am not sure I was the easiest client as I needed lollipop standards not just of similar height but all of a specific height and delivered when I could be there. The Red Robin trees are of lovely quality; all look the same; and are the right height. Which is a pretty perfect service in itself but add in the unexpected dollop of humour and the service moves to the exceptional. G Hall."We will deliver to you in our local area and we will be pleased to arrange this with you whilst you are visiting our Nursery or via the phone. We also provide a planting service. Planting service INCREASES UPTAKE OF WATER & NUTRIENTS - Plants treated with Rootgrow develop a secondary root system, with the express purpose of seeking out new sources of water and other key nutrients that are required to keep your plants happy and healthy.
