The pair are apprehended by Lean, a member of a small group of survivors from Doma's group of children, including Doma's pregnant daughter, Ranu. I think Fire Punch is an amazing manga. I would recommend it if you like stuff on the weirder side like Chainsaw Man, then definitely read it.

The story of Fire Punch never goes where you expect it to, just like most Fujimoto manga. The story is like no other.

San is an 8 year old boy who is too sweet for the harsh world of Fire Punch. He likes potatoes and sweets, and believes Agni is god. Meanwhile, Agni calms Togata down, as they had been planning to abandon him after their secret was revealed. The two reconcile and Agni declares he is going to confront Doma, which Togata is eager to record for their film. They find Doma, now caring for a number of children, and after a brief conversation, Agni resolves not to kill him so as to end the cycle of vengeance. However, he is overcome by his memories of Luna's death, and ends up killing Doma and many of the children in a fugue state, recorded by Togata. Upon awakening, Agni tries to kill himself by walking into a lake; Togata drags him out, but catches on fire in the process and dies. The last panel shows the entire story of Fire Punch is a movie in an empty cinema watched by only two people resembling Agni and Luna. Fujimoto is an incredibly weird person, but he is incredibly talented. The artwork in portrays the harsh world of Fire Punch. Some panels are eerie and haunting, while others are...strange.Togata is by far the best character in Fire Punch. The only reason they live is for films, and wants to make a film about Agni. They end up following Agni on his path of revenge. After nearly a decade of enduring the pain, Agni has conditioned himself to tolerate Doma's flames. However, his burning vengeance is as fierce as it was on the day Luna was taken from him. As Agni traverses a frozen wasteland, he vows to avenge his sister and kill Doma. Hundreds of years later, Luna remains in the tree as the branches spread out to ever more distant stars. Millennia pass, and she wonders to herself if she will be trapped there forever. She watches the Earth below her destroyed by an asteroid. Millions of years later, when the universe is now dead, Sun joins her there, and although they do not remember each other, they embrace and then fall asleep. The main issue with the characters is that they never truly have the time allocated to develop. The problem is not that the characters are bad but a lot of them show potential which is never realised upon. The main characters struggle could be the only exeption to this and he is by all means quite interesting.

Agni comes across a group of people who have passed through his village, including Doma, an army commander who happens to be blessed with flames that never go out until his victim is dead. Doma is discusted with the human body parts they found in the homes of the villagers, and decides to set the entire village on fire, including Agni and Luna. But because of his regenerative powers, Agni stays alive in seething pain. Agni is constantly on fire and has the mental age of a 15-year-old. He suffers a lot throughout the series, but is basically a normal shonen protagonist (in the way he acts). The two fight one another, resulting in Sun burning to death. Luna, having recovered some of her previous memories, destroys half of Agni's brain, allowing him to regenerate with no memories as she had done previously.
