About this deal

There are many wonderful Coronation ideas to be found on the interent internet to mark this special event, including some by Konflux Theatre in Education's, such as building a carriage to get to the Coronation. Children can create them by recycling materials. Perhaps using cereal boxes for the carriage, water bottle tops for wheels and tissue paper for the carriage window curtains - the possibilities are endless! He is the longest-serving heir apparent in history (meaning he waited the longest time before becoming King, 70 years, in fact!). The above video may be from a third-party source. Everyone can join in and because there’s no right or wrong answer, it’s a great way to get your whole class involved. After, hand out this Coronation flag for them to colour in and watch the creative magic unfold. Other King Charles III Coronation ActivitiesThese King Charles III Coronation Display Cut-Outs present a range of illustrations related to royal coronations for you to use to decorate your classrooms, corridors or communal areas ready to celebrate King Charles III's coronation on 6th May. Colouring’s not just a fun way to pass the time either, it’s an excellent approach for refining fine motor skills and honing hand-eye coordination. It’s also fab for cultivating a little mindfulness in the middle of a busy day (for kids and adults alike!). Other Twinkl resources that will support you include our videos, like this one, Ten Art Activities to Learn about Artists, which is a great way for children to learn about different artists. And don’t forget our blog, which is full of helpful information, like What is the Twinkl Book Club? which lets you know all about the regular books that will be delivered free to your home or school upon you joining.

Colouring is a wonderful way for children to express themselves and, just like with craft activities, can help them develop many skills including decision-making, colour recognition, fine motor skills, focus and concentration. It’s an activity that can also develop patience and relaxation, making it an effective mindfulness activity. Colouring can be done nearly anywhere and can also be a collaborative effort. Don’t believe it? Well, take a look at this first colouring activity! If you like this fun and creative King Charles III Royal Cypher Colouring Activity Poster, then we have a whole range of other resources to help you plan your lessons about the Coronation of King Charles III this 6th May 2023. Alternatively, if children want to colour in something they can keep, this King Charles III Royal Cypher Colouring Activity Poster is a good choice. Children can learn about what a cypher is before they get to colour it in, perhaps even writing a bit about it beforehand. This would be good to include as part of an afternoon lesson, as they can unwind with colouring in something they understand the significance of. It’s also an ideal activity to do at home with a loved one during the afternoon. There’s no denying that collages are a brilliant outlet for children to channel their inner creativity and be inspired to create a unique masterpiece. We’ve got three here for you, based on quintessential iconic British images. Why not use this with the whole school? This is a fantastic collaborative class activity, but you could also split the sections between the whole school. The final image could be displayed in the dining hall, assembly hall, or in a prominent place on the wall of the school corridor. This could be a great activity to build a sense of school community as everyone will have worked together to create one piece of art.
