About this deal

Oud oil from high-quality, wild Laotian wood is difficult, if not impossible, to source, so most Laotian oils on the market are actually distilled from plantation wood. The oil that is produced by Laotian plantations is plentiful and consistent in quality. Therefore, much of the output is sold directly to the large flavor and aroma factories in France and Switzerland, where it is used in upscale niche perfumery. The characteristics of Laotian oud oil are as follows: Style versus terroir has much to do with the availability of the original tree, therefore. In some countries such as Malaysia, Thailand, and Laos, oud-producing trees are still plentiful, at least in plantation form, and therefore may still be thought of in terms of geographical provenance. For example, because there are plenty of Thai agarwood trees, we can think of them simply as Thai oils, rather than Thai -style oud oils. However, when we talk about trees that no longer exist, like the original Crassnas that produced the famous 1970s Cambodi oils, it is more accurate to talk about Cambodi -style oils. Many people find the buying of oud anything stressful, partially because of the extra outlay involved and partially because of fears over authenticity. The more money one spends, the higher the expectation of purity. Nobody likes to feel that they are being duped. But a bit of common sense will help steer you in this matter. Regardless, the fragrance itself is a mix of orange, pink pepper, saffron, cedar, and eponymous oud. It opens with proportionately more citrus and then dries down to the spicy woody blend. It's never really overpowering in any one aspect, but the citrus gives way to a woodier dominance on the dry down, with the saffron adding plenty of character and pepper adding some spiciness, predictably.

I wonder, who came up with the idea that this perfume is sexy? Maybe it lies on the bottle, that is so well-made, promising a dark, smoky, unisex juice. But in a cruel reality, it's just a f**k up. Unscrew the stem by turning the gold ring at the top of the fragrance bottle — please do not twist the stem itself.

Ooookay...the bottle is here!! I received the fragrance today and I have to say...it's DEFINITELY not like the original Oud 24hrs in any way c-o-m-p-l-e-t-e-l-y !!! Having just bought this and worn it for a few days now (perfect weather in the UK just now - Spring Snow :o) ) I get dry, powdery, citrus, Oud and a hint of Vanilla. It's not unpleasant but I'm not leaping to celebrate it either. It's a bit weird. A sort of Jekyll & Hyde it's like two quirky personalities spliced together in the same bottle - sweet, fruity, fresh citrus aromatic for one and the other a dry, earthy (patchouli), woody (Oud) oriental. It kinda works but also kinda doesn't. I shall live with it a bit longer and see if it improves with some more time to macerate in the bottle and a dark cupboard. Hindi oud is alternatively known as Indian, Bengali, Bangladeshi, and Assamese oud. Originally, Hindi oud referred to a specific terroir. Hindi oil was exclusively distilled from Agallocha-species trees that grow in Assam in Northeastern India, a mountainous area known for its lush tea plantations. But because the Agallocha is now grown in regions other than Assam, and because you can use different woods and force-aging to produce a Hindi-style oil, it is probably more accurate these days to view Indian oud as more a style of oud than strictly a product of its terroir. I'll be wearing this one out tomorrow to help a friend move. I'll see if it lasts through sweat and high body temps. If this is what "Stronger with you: Leather" and "Armani Code Absolu" smell like...then I've definitely got a winner on my hands.

On the other side, SN is not really new perfume smells, although it seems new only from the opening notes. Santal noir contains sandalwood and musk. There is also a very sweet component which i would expect to be Amber. I feel Amber is being overly used although i like sweet perfumes. I am an experience man on musk component and i feel the musk is used in this product “”may”” not be in very high quality. This product seems to be resembling a combination of “”” Ambre nuit and Feve delicieuse”. I would expect this product will be selling high because many people prefer ambre nuit.Good lord! I do not like this fragrance. Not that it's bad, but I winced when I smelled it. It is absolutely grotesque and spicy and onion-y when freshly sprayed, smells like a completely different fragrance than it does after a few minutes. It smells a bit like sweat, too. The combination of scents in here simply do not compliment my tastes at all. I find it to be quite offensive. Smells somewhat like cilantro in the second stage, which I hate. The later dry down is much, much better tending more towards a rich, woodsy, lightly fruity, Cola-ish musk, which is actually rather nice, but not for me. I would agree that this is a unisex fragrance, but it reminds me of how my religious Sufi uncle would smell when he was all perfumed up on his way the mosque, very musky and hearty. I'd say it tends more towards being masculine for that reason. Kind of smells like dry couscous to me as well. I do get a bit of tangy passion fruit and citrus in there, however, which I quite like. It also smells much sweeter, richer, and more prominently of sandalwood and florals. It's so funny how it does a complete 180 in how it smells when freshly sprayed compared to after it gets to dry and calm down a bit. Repeat the above process once every 3 days – please don’t turn more regularly than that, as overdosing your Orchid may result in drips of fragrance escaping. i was expecting to produce 1 or 2 new fragrances instead of 10 at once. ( it seems to me producing 10 different perfumes at once can cover many people’s taste. It also seems to be profitable idea in the market. “ Louis vouitton launched 10 perfumes at once in the market, and I don’t like companies copying others ideas and deliver it to people.
