Oilfast is happy to announce that we produce and sell our own licensed AdBlue®, that we call FleetBlue, straight from our manufacturing plant in Motherwell. By manufacturing FleetBlue in-house, we can offer the best possible service at the lowest possible price. AdBlue® is a liquid solution of urea (a component of synthetic urine) and deionised water. It is completely colourless and non-toxic. It’s introduced to neutralise Nitrous Oxide emissions from diesel engines in line with Government targets. The bag that holds the product is double-skinned and is an eco-smart choice that reduces your plastic consumption by up to 90% compared to a rigid jerry can. The Flexi-house pouring spout inside the box is made from Polyethylene (PE), a recyclable material designed for easy pouring. The main active component of AdBlue is ammonia. This is chemically formed by hydrolysing automotive urea, which is the main raw material for AdBlue. This technology (Selective Catalytic Reduction) reduces harmful emissions (NOx). AdBlue is injected into the catalyst of the SCR system, where it triggers a chemical reaction with the ammonia. This chemical reaction converts the toxic nitrogen oxides (NOx) into nitrogen (N2) and water vapour (H2O). Water vapour and nitrogen are naturally occurring gases that are harmless to the environment.
