About this deal

Likewise, the series depicts Garth as Aqualad wearing a version of his original costume where the shorts were replaced with long pants. That night, the Joker sets up his base in Metropolis, gassing a local crime boss, Ceasar Carlini, and taking his hideout and his cowered thugs for his own. Carlini is later found, hysterical with laughter, by the Metropolis police, alerting Superman to the Joker's presence in the city. When Luthor tells The Joker that he can't be connected to Superman's death, he responds "Oh, you'll be Mr. Clean." Mr. Clean is a soap brand that features a bald man in its logo. Depite this minor issue I enjoyed Worlds Finest, it's a lot of fun for any super hero movie fan and still better than Batman vs Superman (2016)

Wayne Enterprises' brief partnership with LexCorp is later found, in the episode " Knight Time", to have allowed Brainiac to infect Wayne's computers, after having done so to LexCorp's in " Stolen Memories" (see also " Ghost in the Machine"). Because it aired in the evening as a special presentation, this episode won a Prime-Time Emmy Award. TMS is very proud of this and displays the Emmy in their lobby. My complaints? The animation isn't one I like, it looks very odd in places almost like different animation styles were used for different characters. The story is fairly standard, with some mild complexity and also features the Doom Patrol. Some time travel is involved which I didn't care for how easily that was done but there may be something I'm not aware of with the character that does it (which means a caption or explanation would have been nice.) Batman confronts the Joker, leaving Harley to fly the wing, but she only succeeds in shutting off its engines. Fortunately, Superman arrives just in time to steer the wing away from a collision with a building. In the fight, Joker accidentally drops his entire bag of marble grenades. As the grenades start to explode, the heroes save Luthor and Harley. Joker, left behind, desperately, but unsuccessfully, pulls a parachute onto him. Suddenly, the plane tilts and Joker falls onto his side. Joker sees his grenades rolling towards him, and starts to giggle then he starts laughing, growing louder until he finally roars with maniacal, insane, violent laughter. In the explosion, the wing is destroyed, and it crashes into the ocean. It’s the second chapter of the third arc, and this arc is off to a good start. The setup last month was excellent. Not only did it provide a neat jumping-on point, but it was also a strong premise that promises a great adventure, involving Metamorpho and Simon Stagg. I can’t wait to see where this story goes, so let’s jump right into the comic and have a look.

That night, Batman appears in a Metropolis nightclub, finding a runaway thug from the gang Joker recruited. While Batman is interrogating the thug, Superman arrives, saying he doesn't want Batman's brand of vigilantism in his town. To his astonishment, Batman throws him across the room with a judo move. Superman pushes him against the wall, and the thug escapes. Using his x-ray vision, Superman looks beneath the mask and sees that Batman is Bruce Wayne. Batman then pulls out the fragment of Kryptonite and warns Superman of Joker's plan.Issue #18 is an entirely new "first meeting" between the two heroes, but includes a brief appearance by Magpie, from the continuity-before-last's first meeting in The Man of Steel, and Spellbinder, who in pre-Crisis continuity fought Batman and Superman seperately. Didn't Think This Through: Professor Ivo captured Will Magnus and forced him to build a Responsometer for Amazo. Whoops — once he activated it, the robot immediately rebelled against his creator, captured the two along with other major scientists and begin a Robot Uprising. Power Incontinence: David accidentally lights a forest ablaze when he develops his powers after arriving on the main Earth. A combination of the stress from losing his world and suddenness of his abilities prevents him from controlling them until Superman uses his Super Breath to cool David off and helps him calm down.

Transformation Horror: Metamorpho's origin gets retold and it's explored how painful gaining his powers was and how painful it still is to exist as essentially a living mass of base elements that shouldn't be alive or capable of sensation but is regardless. His current form is mastering his self-transmutation ability to emulate human physiology, but he's still in as much pain as when he first got his powers. Harley Quinn calls Lex "Mr. L", which is an alias Luthor often used in Superman's early Post-Crisis comics, the first time being in The Man of Steel #2. So the art by Dan Mora was phenomenal. The coloring by Tamra Bonvillain was understated compared to a lot of coloring I see these days and I dug it. With the troubles over, Angela Chen reports on the incident: Joker's body has not been found. Luthor is under investigation, but it is unlikely he will be charged with any crime. However, Bruce Wayne, discovering that Luthor has been developing military versions of their robots without his approval, terminates his deal with LexCorp. Harley is returned to Arkham Asylum, much to the amusement of a beaten-up Mercy, who is watching her public arrest on TV and enjoying the last laugh at her expense. This Bear Was Framed: Issue #6 opens In Medias Res with Robin at a circus insisting that the lion is not responsible for a recent death, he just needs time to figure out who is. It turns out to be the animal trainer, whose sorrow at having to put the lion down is entirely feigned. Later, the police investigate the crime scene and wonder why Joker would only take one jade statue, worth maybe a hundred thousand dollars - especially when rumor has it that he's hurting for funds. Batman examines a fragment of the statue that had been left behind and takes it for further study.
