The perfections that Allah bestowed upon the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ encompass every aspect of his blessed being: his outward physical form, his senses, his internal form and his inner beauty. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is the most perfect embodiment of created beauty and form, and he is unsurpassed in his perfections. No one can rival or outstrip him in any laudable quality or trait. He knows Allah as He should be known. He fears Allah as He should be feared. He loves Allah as He should be loved. Understanding the Shama’il is absolutely critical to any proper understanding of Islam, for it details the qualities of the message-bearer, which fundamentally alters how we understand the message he brought.

This is a very fine line between tahdith bin ni’mah (stating the favour of Allah upon oneself) and takkabbur (pride). I asked Shaykhul Hadith Maulana Abdul Jalil Akhun (R.A) about the difference between the two. He said, ‘Did you have to praise yourself at that moment, if it wasn’t then it can be arrogance, if there was a need and you did then it is tahdith bin ni’mah. You have to ask your yourself what was your motive and what was your intention at the time.’ أبو عيسى However, beyond mere permissibility, one should look towards the customs and culture of the land they live in to see how braids are seen by the society, specifically in the opinion of the socially-aware scholars and respectable people. Also, braids must be undone at the time of the ritual bath (ghusl).Taqrib al-Tahdhib by MafiQ Ibn Hajar with marginal notes by ‘Allamah ‘Abdullah al-BaRri and his student al-Mayrghani. have been told by Ibrahim ibn Muhammad, one of the offspring of 'Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be well pleased with him): “When 'Ali described Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace),he said: Worship And Devotion Of Rasoolullah (pbuh) ৪১. রাসূলুল্লাহ (ﷺ) এর দ্বোহার সালাত (باب صلاة الضحى) ৭ টি Imam Tirmidhi (R.A) was very pious. It is said that he would fervently cry to such an extent that he became blind. Madhab

Shoulder-length hairstyles have almost become- in our times and in our culture (m: the author lived in Islamic Spain in the 5th century hijri) – a distinguishing mark of the foolish. Indeed, it has been related from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said, ‘Whosever specifically imitates a certain group of people, then he is one of them, or he is gathered with them [on Judgement Day]… From the aforementioned hadeeth [of four braids], we can ascertain the permissibility of braiding the hair, even for men; it is not specifically for women only, even if that has become the culture in most countries in these times to specify it for women. Because there is no consideration given to that [restriction].” {al-Bayjuri, Sharh Shamail] The Recital Of Sayyidina Rasoolullah (pbuh) ৪৫. রাসূলুল্লাহ (ﷺ) এর ক্ৰন্দন (باب ما جاء في بكاء رسول الله ﷺ) ৬ টি The Death Of Sayyidina Rasoolullah (pbuh) ৫৫. রাসূলুল্লাহ (ﷺ) এর মীরাস (باب ما جاء فى ميراث رسول الله ﷺ) ৭ টি The author of a commentary on Ibn Majah states: “Perhaps he (peace be upon him) did that to protect [his hair] against dust.” [al-Suyuti, Hashiya on Ibn Majah]

He became blind in the latter part of his life and was not blind from birth. The cause for the loss of sight is suggested to be due to his excessive crying because of his taqwa. Imam Tirmidhi (R.A) has reported 397 narrations in the books. A lot of these narrations have already been mentioned by Imam Tirmidhi (R.A) in Jami Tirmidhi. The 397 narrations are divided in 55-56 chapters; some say 55 and others 56. He is Ibrahim Bin Muhammad al-Bajuri ash-Shafi'i, the imam and Shaykh of Al-Azhar (d.1198-1277 H). He is the shaykh of the Shafi'is in his day and has written the best explanation of one of the most studied books in the Shafi'i school of thought, namely the Matn Abi Shuja'. He named it al-Iqna' Sharh Matn Abi Shuja'. Almost all of his works are refered to as 'Hashiyat al-Bajuri' in respective to the Shuruh he wrote. There was no science he didn't excel in and this can be seen through his wide range of work in various fields. Imam Tirmidhi’s Jami’ is an important collection of Hadith. A few statements of eminent scholars of Hadith regarding the worth of his collection are mentioned. Imam Tirmidhi said that he compiled this book and presented it to the learned of Hijaz, Iraq and Khurasan, and they were pleased with it, and whosoever has this book in his home, it is as though he has the Prophet (S.A.W.) speaking to him there. ‘Abd Allah b. Muhammad al-Ansari (d.481 A.H.), the Shaikh-al-Islam (teacher) of Herat, is reported to have said that, in his opinion Tirmidhi’s Jami’ is more beneficial than Bukhari and Muslim’s collections, since their compilations are for the scholars, whereas Imam Tirmidhi’s Jami’ is for both the scholars and the laity. Imam Tirmidhi (R.A) starts with praising Allah and salutation upon the chosen one (the Prophet). This is because of the ahadith where the Prophet of Allah ﷺ suggests that something started without bismillah or alhamdulillah remains incomplete. So to avoid that he includes basmalah and hamd in a similar manner as the pious people who preceded him. 7
