About this deal

Love SJP and I trust her fragrance nose more than any other celeb and most designers. I let a lot of her other fragrances get away, and now I yearn for them all. I am sure I will be getting this one.

Stash reminds me of a quieter Frédéric Malle Vétiver Extraordinaire; it also brought to mind Eau d'Italie Bois d'Ombrie and one of my favorite soaps: Nesti Dante Villages and Monasteries. Stash has good lasting power but stays close to the body; it's unisex but veers masculine to my nose (but will non-perfumista guys buy it?) I wore Stash after my test run of Versace Pour Homme Dylan Blue and all I could think was: "Donatella, hire Sarah Jessica Parker and her team of perfumers ( Clement Gavarry and Laurent Le Guernec) the next time you need a new Versace men's scent." I'm serious. LA2000 -What other attributes which make her beautiful could be shown in a photograph when all of that is something a camera cannot capture?? Do you people think at all before commenting or is everyone a philosopher now? I am annoyed that you felt the need to comment. As I’ve written before, I developed a strange liking for the original Stash SJPwhen it came out — strange, because it really is not my usual vibe. I didn’t like it much when I first tried it in store, but I sprayed some on a paper slip on a later visit to Ulta, and took that home. Lo and behold, every time I found myself sniffing the air, thinking “what is that alluring scent?”, it was the slip with Stashon it. And this went on for a week! At the end of that week, I caved and went and bought one of the gift sets Ulta had on sale.

After hearing the buzz about this on fragrance forums, I tested this not once but twice when Stash made it’s debut. On paper, it was everything I adored so I thought it would be a major win. Alas, it seemed to fall flat, my skin sort of are the fragrance and it just was not love at first sniff. Like a lot of people here, I was initially surprised by the photograph used to promote this fragrance. However, after reading the associations with the Russian ballet it makes sense. Her makeup is heavy and a theatrical. Just like a real performing ballerina. It also seems to be overexposed which I also think is a subtle nod to strong and unforgiving stage lights.

Unfortunately, that aggressive, high contrast "beauty" lighting and noticeable retouching undermine the self-affirming confidence of her brand. Going forward, a gentler hand in these departments would serve her better. I can't wait to try this. I finally warmed to Stash but still disappointed about the poor longevity. In February 2014, George and I launched the SJP Collection. We founded our footwear collection upon three main pillars: delivering quality products, using color and sparkle as a neutral, and giving the single sole a new heartbeat. We arrived in NYC the same month of the same year and share many fashion references from those early days on the island of Manhattan and those points of inspiration have played an influential role in our design process. As well, we both agreed that our shoes had to be handmade in Italy which enjoys a long tradition of being considered the home of the finest shoemakers in the world. Greetings one and all to SJP by SJP. We're thrilled you have found your way here and hope it's a place you return to again and again.

Stash SJP fragrance opened the new chapter of the perfume collection from the actress Sarah Jessica Parker when it came out in Fall 2016 as a unisex mixture of woody notes, herbs and resins. The new edition of the collection - Stash SJP Privé - is allegedly dedicated to Russia, the ballet legacy of the Bolshoi Theater, and the actress's memories of her visit to Moscow. SJP Stash Perfume is a signature scent from actress Sarah Jessica Parker. The perfume has notes of sandalwood, bergamot, white pepper and amber that combine to create a warm and seductive aroma. If you are looking for a scent similar to SJP Stash Perfume, there are several options available.

I love incense based fragrances. I regularly wear heavy fragrances, and I regularly wear mens fragrances. Unfortunately, my skin also tends to amplify woods.

mamakatt38 -You're not feeling so confident today and have altered your comments AND removed your photo? One must take a good look into the mirror before they even think of saying something nasty about someone's looks and you were really brutal and out there! I am disgusted with your hypocrisy. I say this with All Due Respect and Friendship… That you liked this fragrance has intensified my already rabid desire to Smell/Buy this fragrance a Thousand-fold! I know Kevin, it takes something good for you to be impressed and I respect that and Now, since I am already a fan of ALL THINGS SJP am tittering with your wonderful review. I cannot wait to get my own Stash of “Stash” It overjoys me that Sarah got to make her unique scent finally! Although, Am I the only one who thought “Covet” was a little off the reservation as well with it’s Bold opening of Chocolate and Lemon??? SJP has always had kind of a Kooky sense of Smell and one that I personally jibe with Totally. I read somewhere that there's supposed to be an element of "man sweat" in this fragrance. Dunno where that was, but it gave me pause. But my more than calm reaction (from a devoted lover of her previous works in almost all of the range) will probably change when I get a chance to try it on skin and to listen to it lastingly...

I use bath oil more regularly now, because my skin has become so dry, especially in the winter when the house is heated. Most of the time, I use an unscented oil like Neutrogena’s sesame body oil; I just squirt some in the bath water. After Portia’s comment, I’ve added less than a dropperful of the Stash elixir oil, and it is wonderful — it scents the whole bathroom. Sillage is not a problem with this fragrance — it carries quite a way. I love that my random remark has given you a way to use your oil. A couple of fragrant oil drops in the bath really change the whole experience for me too. My current favourite is a vintage Caron Bellodgia. It’s only 15 ml but with judicious drops I’ve eked it out over years and it’s still half full. Any more than a drop or two and it’s overwhelming. I want it. I’m a big fan of Lovely and of the Covet. I don’t doubt that I would really like Stash too. I’m curious about how you happened to review this, since you are not a big SJP fan, it’s nominally a feminine fragrance and it wasn’t exactly strewn in your path. Did you get a hot tip? Did Robin twist your arm? Or what, if you don’t mind saying. Well, Kevin, I see there’s one thing you have in common with SJP: she sprays “a lot of freakin’ fragrance on.” 🙂Sanja Pekic is a Fragrantica editor from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, who has been part of the team since 2008. She is responsible for maintaining the encyclopedia and also serves as a news scout and investigative fragrance journalist. Sanja's passion for fashion and martial arts brings a unique perspective to her work. For a more floral fragrance similar to SJP Stash Perfume, try Philosophy Love Sweet Love Perfume. This perfume features notes of lily, rose and jasmine blended with sandalwood and musk for a sweet and subtly seductive aroma. Well that’s weird, there is no oil ingredient in there at all! All of those are fragrance components, aren’t they? Now about the fragrance. It looks boring, but I'll give it a try. I'm admittedly not a fan of mainstream-geared fragrances, but I'm always open to surprised. No matter which perfume you choose, you can be sure to find a scent similar to SJP Stash Perfume that will suit your individual style. With the variety of fragrances available, you are sure to find one that will become your signature scent.
