This is a lazy way to simulate the heat-staining effect you can see on the studio models. I did a similar thing on the engines for the Outrider’s bikes.

If you like assault marines, the Day of Revelation Blood Angels rite is pretty neat, your jump infantry deep strike on the first turn of the game and get 5+ cover. Any deep striking models get pinning on their weapons, and everyone gets +1 Initiative on the charge. Other than that, they all require that the units within the detachment be from the same faction, they all bar the use of under-strength units, and they all allow for you to take 1 dedicated transport for each ‘infantry’ unit in that detachment. Players can earn CP via other means as well; for example, battle-forged armies generate 1 CP automatically per battle round. This helps to keep your tactical options open, even later in the game after your initial gambits have played out. Other than that, the way I painted them is the same as all my other Crimson Fists, as per one of our very earliest HTPEs and extracted below for convenience: I'm not familiar with the BA rites, so I can't really say explicitly from a BA perspective, but as an EC player (or an aspiring one at least, still getting the bits together) they strike me as a much better assault unit than shooting unit.
