About this deal

There are a number of conclusions in this book including a link from the freemasons of today to the actual masons and builders of the Egyptian Pyramids. How accurate could their maps have been? What tools did they have beyond their crude maps and compasses/squares? You could perhaps eyeball it. But most of us would be standing there scratching our heads and asking Which Way Is Jerusalem? Which Way Is Mecca? SS was responsible for the conception and design, acquisition of data, analysis and interpretation of data, as well as drafting of the manuscript, generation of the figures, and was accountable for accuracy and integrity of the work. ZH made substantial contributions to the design, interpretation of the results, drafting of the manuscript, critical revisions for important intellectual content, and agreed to be accountable for the integrity of any part of the work. The most striking feature in the mummy of Seqenenre is the presence of severe injuries in the head ( 1, 9, 10). Multiple craniofacial injuries in Seqenenre's mummy were previously described in the literature based on physical inspection and X-rays ( 9, 10). In 1898, Maspero described three injuries by physical inspection involving the upper forehead, the right cheek and the left cheek ( 7). GE Smith in 1912 described two other injuries: one near the nose region and one on the left side of the skull base ( 9).It seems that Seqenenre was well-prepared for the war against Hyksos as he founded the huge military fortress at Deir el-Ballas. He probably took the provocation of Hyksos King as a justification to declare war. When compared to CT scanning of other ancient Egyptian warriors with great military reputations, such as Thutmose III and Ramesses II, only Seqenenre had severe injuries inflicted by weapons ( 17). Such injuries suggest that Seqenenre was on the front line, risking his life to liberate Egypt. Seqenenre's death motivated his successors to continue the fight to unify Egypt and start the New Kingdom. Conclusion In reality, the "history " they weave is built on a great deal of speculation, combined with hints at evidence. Like many pseudo-historians, however, they mistake evidence for proof. Many of their threads can easily have gone in other directions while they are adamant that they can be only interpreted in one way. They're fond of taking evidence which is coincidence and assigning a "cause and effect" relationship where there is none. On a few occasions they made statements like "coincidence can definitely be ruled out" without supporting why it can be.

Fractured Greater Wing of Right Sphenoid Description The Hiram Key, by Freemasons Christopher Knight and Robert Lomas, is a work of speculative non-fiction in the tradition of Michael Baigent and Richard Leigh’s The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail (which though uncredited, likely inspired Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code). It documents their quest to discover the answers to two mysteries of Masonic ritual: the nature of the “lost secrets of Freemasonry,” and the identity of Hiram Abif, whose assassination and resurrection figures significantly in their Third Degree. Potential spoilers ahead; along the way, some of their conclusions include: Lomas gained a First Class Honours degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Salford before being awarded a PhD for his research into solid state physics and crystalline structures. [1] From here he went on to work on electronic weapons systems and emergency services command and control systems. [ citation needed]A heavy sharp object like a sword or an ax. The blow was most likely fatal. Position of the Assailant Following the diaspora of the Templars due to their outlawing in 1307, many settled in Scotland; Rosslyn Chapel was built in the image of a “New Jerusalem”, with a floor-plan identical to Herod’s Temple, to house the Nasorean scrolls at a point corresponding with its Holy of Holies. Knight and Lomas believe they have identified this location based on the layout of pillars in the Chapel. This study of the mummified body of King Seqenenre-Taa-II helped to develop a better understanding of the circumstances of his death. This study suggests that King Seqenenre was likely killed while leading the Egyptian military against the Hyksos army. He was captured in battle and was killed in the struggle. Scholars did agree that the morphology of Seqenenre injuries matched those that would be inflicted with weaponry from the Hyksos period ( 2, 12, 19). Bietak and Strouhal studied Asian bronze weapons found in Tell El Dabaa (ancient Avaris) and matched them to Seqenenre's head injuries. The weapons belonged to the Middle Bronze Culture II (MB II), and were similar to those used by Hyksos authorities at the time of Seqenenre's reign ( 12). We studied five of these Asian bronze weapons, currently housed at Cairo Egyptian Museum. We agree with Bietak and Strouhal's suggestion that the left cheek and right supra-orbital fractures match with the size and shape of MB II battle-ax ( Figures 2B,C). The cutting edge of the Hyksos battle-ax is smaller than its Egyptian counterpart. The force of the impact of the Hyksos ax is more focused and impacts a narrower area, explaining the deep bone punctures we observed ( 2, 12, 20). The long nose, the hair beyond shoulder-length with a centre parting, the full beard that forked at its base, and the fit-looking six-foot frame all perfectly match the known image of the last Grand Master of the Knights Templar.

Quatuor Coronati Lodge No 2067 the principal Lodge of Masonic research under the United Grand Lodge of England, has criticised the book as Pseudohistory, [4] and some Masonic libraries categorise the volume as fiction. What 'known image'? Knight and Lomas urge their readers to look at their fig 20 where sure enough there is a line drawing identified as Jacques de Molay which indeed bears a good passing resemblance to the face on the Turin Shroud, as below: The authors claim that the Master Mason’s words phonetically translate in Egyptian: "Ma'at-neb-men-ae, Ma'at-ba-aa". "Great is the established Master of Freemasonry, Great is the spirit of Freemasonry." This may be the Master Mason’s word in the lodge that the authors were initiated into, but Freemasonry has had such a long oral transmission of certain parts of the ritual that to draw any phonetic link between a much mangled 17th century word and an ancient Egyptian phrase that we have only a best-guess pronunciation of, is either false etymology or willful self-delusion. No proof for this theory is provided. They refer to this unproven theory as accepted fact in subsequent passages. I read this book with no initial information about it, it was a swap with a friend while traveling. The book was very interesting with lots of information on historical events and religion and how it progressed. I enjoyed the book when I got towards the end of the first section as it was then I started to understand what it was about. The book looking into masonic ritual and writes a timeline of history, it tries to explain some of the historical mysteries such as the star of Bethlehem and the origins of the great builders in the areas including and surrounding Jerusalem. I found some interesting facts dotted throughout but I do realize this book wasn't really meant for me.Robert Lomas is a British writer, physicist and business studies academic. He writes primarily about the history of Freemasonry as well as the Neolithic period, ancient engineering, and archaeoastronomy. They did a vigorous analysis and comparison of ancient Egyptian records and compared them to the Old and New Testament as well as the Dead Sea Scrolls. I cannot comment on how versed they are in ancient languages, so it is hard for me to really conclude how accurate these comparisons are. The do seem to make a decent case for early Christian rituals and some of the Masonic rituals, however. The biggest problem I ran into was their claim that the Christian Church was a political creation and had really had no connection with Jesus Christ. I reject that having been a practicing Christian for well over 20 years now, with far too many personal encounters with the Holy Spirit (including Christ). This book is very interesting and of very entertaining and agile reading. The authors know the art to express their ideas in a simple, straightforward and compelling way. You could almost say that it reads like an adventure novel.

We postulated that a CT study of mummy Seqenenre, in correlation with the historical data, could give more insights on his death circumstances and could shed new light on this important chapter in Egypt's history. Materials and Methods They decided that the story of Hiram Abiff was actually based on the initiation ceremonies of the ancient kings of Egypt. They also came to the conclusion, after analysis of the New Testament, the Gnostic Gospels, and Masonic ritual, that Jesus and the original Christians were thoroughly different from what the Roman Catholic Church and orthodox Christianity has taught they were.Knight and Lomas begin by quoting Henry Ford, who was a Freemason, [2] as saying "all history is bunk". They express the belief that, though Ford's statement may be abrupt, it is accurate, as history is often not a completely accurate and comprehensive account of facts, but only what the dominant or orthodox view of the time has recorded for posterity. The authors speculate that there were two Jesus Christs: Yahoshua ben Joseph "king of the Jews" and his brother James or Yacob ben Joseph "Jesus Barabbas" also "son of God". No proof for this theory is provided. They refer to this unproven theory as accepted fact in subsequent passages.
