We created composer and instrumentation tokens to give more control over the kinds of samples MuseNet generates. Beautifully painted (of course), this promises to be a charming tale of humour, art, and adventure, as the little mouse grows to find his meaning and place in the world. MuseNet was not explicitly programmed with our understanding of music, but instead discovered patterns of harmony, rhythm, and style by learning to predict the next token in hundreds of thousands of MIDI files. Kickliy is a French storyteller, esteemed oil painter, and creator of the award-winning graphic novel series Musnet. Here we use t-SNE to create a 2-D map of the cosine similarity of various musical composer and style embeddings.

Musnet’s situation fluctuates causing the reader to quickly move from relief to panic which ensures the reader wants to keep going through the series.
