About this deal

Two comments on possible errors in the directions, and a question. First, in Step 2 it now says “Plug the two white (positive) wires from the temperature sensor into the first push-in wire connector.” I am sure you meant two wires from the heat pad.

Interesting idea, I hadn't seen that kind of set up before. Basically a tiny mini-split? The first problem I see would be in the summer time, adding more heat to the battery box. If your batteries are in the living space they should get no where near freezing. The only problem with liths is charging when below freezing. I don't take the bus out much, if ever, in the winter. I'm just using the heat pads to make darn sure the batteries never get charged when they are below freezing. Besides the heat pad, which is set to come on about 38°F I also have a total disconnect of the batteries from everything set at about 35°F. Placing a heating pad below the battery will eliminate the only face of six that is causing the low temperature problems. They normally really on a secondary heat source such as a heat mat. We have always preferred to use heat mats rather than heat lamps. As indeed these provide the heat underneath the pups, where its needed. Rather than risking overheating the bitch. (Not to mention that fact that heat lamps are very expensive to run. They can consuming up to 10x the electricity consumed by a heat pad)Heating for much time using a battery is not going to work because the watt-hours in the battery will only power the heating pad for a fairly short time. Consider that a 50 watt heating pad will consume 50 watt hours of power in one hour, and at 12 volts and 20 amp-hours capacity that is 240 watt hours. That is less than 5 hours running from that battery. Heat is never an issue, in 4.5 years I've only seen a cell at 80f and that has only been twice. 45-75f is the normal cell temp range depending on season and location. Picasso, I've never seen one of these heating pads in person that's I'm wondering about the placement of it.

When it gets that cold here I will just take the battery out and bring it inside. But I am many weeks from "that" cold here. I tapped into the heat duct run from the furnace as can be seen in the original post, all that's needed is to remove the cover on the end of the drop down hose for more heat to get pushed into the compartment instead of just radiating off of hose. The compartment has already been insulated fairly well, maybe the entire floor in the front compartment should have a piece of foam/ plywood on it just as a layer of insulation. As the temperature sensor needs to fit closely to the battery, make sure to measure your wire length and always leave a little extra length until you are ready to complete the heat pad’s installation. If necessary, locate your extra wire. We added some length of 16-gauge wire so installation with our batteries was simplified. You want to ensure that your ring terminals (which we will hook up next) can reach towards the battery’s terminals.Heating lower / medium temperature drums, cylinders, flat plates, water basins or food process machinery

Maybe I don't even need the heating pad after the plywood and foam insulation is added raising the batteries off the cold steel floor. RS PRO is our own-brand range of great-value products. Finding the resistance that works for you. The goal to fulltiming in an rv is to run from extreme cold weather but in the past 2 years I've had to be in it for a short duration before I could move. Precise and flexible heat distribution plays a crucial role in many applications where temperature control system for heating, warm and frost protection in drums, cylinders or hoppers machinery is invaluable in heating technology. Positive push-in connector: two white (positive) wires from heat pad and one red (positive) wire from temperature sensor.

I'm not even worried about the heat generated from them other than if it will stay on for a period of an hour or so without having it turn itself off being sandwiched in the design I'm thinking about. As I said all cells can be seen/ monitored on a display panel in live time readings. Once the cells warm up it would as simple as turning the heating pad off.The Vinyl Pet Heat Pad’s for newborn puppies as they are very vulnerable to chills in their first few days. This is because they cannot control their own body temperature and reply on the bitch for heat. The construction of the heating element has a simple concept by laminating spaced resistance wires between two sheets of silicone rubber to improve heat transfer and speed warm-ups of the industrial applications. Our Battle Born Batteries ship with 18-8 stainless steel 5/16 – 18 1” and 1 ¼’ bolts, brass washers and 18-8 stainless steel nuts with nylon inserts. The heating pad can be connected to the 12v fuse panel with a switch added inline to turn it on/ off if needed. Power consumption should be roughly 6a which would be a little more than 1% an hour of my battery bank, I'm thinking it probably wouldn't need to be used more than an hour or so periodically. The warming elements usually found on a spool by specific ohms per foot or you might find what you need in an old fridgerator.
