About this deal

We first tapped away at this new interface with Samsung’s trio of Galaxy S10 phones earlier in the year, and it remains the best software Samsung has ever used on any of its phones. The UI has a clean, simple look to it and is remarkably easy to navigate. It can also be customised to your liking, allowing you to adjust the phone’s vibration intensity and the size of the app icons – which are a little large by default. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus release date was Friday, August 23 2019 after being announced on August 7, and you'll pay more for S Pen-included smartphone than pretty much any other Android handset.

Samsung's own AI system was much akin to Bertie Wooster — had a funny name, didn't operate properly and got into mishaps With Night Mode enabled, we do see less aggressive smoothing, but more noise as exposure is increased. In most dark scenarios, we found it to be a better trade off. But for this reason, the Google Pixel 3, with its superior post-processing in Night Sight mode, remains the overall winner for your nighttime and bar-restaurant shots. It takes up the entire front of the phone and then some, with an edge-to-edge design that has pixels spilling over the left and right sides. The curved display comes to a fine point, making it satisfyingly sharp in more ways than one.

At the end of the day, though, here at T3 we love top tech, and the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ is certainly that — it is a stunningly accomplished smartphone that will effortlessly power any user's mobile experience for years to come. The Note 10 Plus is available either with or without the 4G communication standard. A smaller version of the phone with slightly pared-down specs, the Note 10, has also been released. As you’d expect from a new Note, the 10 Plus is among the fastest phones out today. Sure, last year’s iPhone and a few other Androids are a smidge faster, but that’s mostly about bragging rights at this point.

Both Note 10 and Note 10 Plus have either a Snapdragon 855 or a Exynos 9825 chipset, depending on your region, and we've tested both. Samsung didn't upgrade to the gaming-centric Snapdragon 855 Plus used in the Asus ROG Phone 2, but it did outfit the Note 10 Plus with a vapor cooling chamber designed to handle today’s 3D games and whatever comes next. Ultra-wide and 2x zoom telephoto lenses offer more interesting perspectives, something not on the Pixel 3

Verizon flipped on its 5G service in Providence at the end of July, making Rhode Island’s capital one of 10 cities that now have 5G access on Big Red's network. (Verizon claims that more than 20 additional cities will be added to those ranks before the end of the year.) But don't take that to mean that 5G connectivity is available throughout those cities. Toward the end of my testing session, it began to rain, but I'm not sure that affected my results so much as it did my disposition. A Verizon representative told me that only rain that completely obscures visibility would disrupt 5G connectivity. Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G speed results The Note 10 Plus delivers on the hype of five cameras, with varying perspectives and superb performance from all, something we did find on the six-camera-lens LG G8.

T3 were pretty effusive about the Galaxy Note 10 in our hands-on review, and how its new compact design just feels right.Unfortunately the same can’t quite be said of the Note 10+, which is a rather unwieldy slab of glass and metal. Being completely honest, holding the handset for the first time is reminiscent of the engorged Galaxy S10 5G. The Note 10+ also comes in a 5G variant, so you can even get the very latest, super rapid data connections now available in most major UK cities and set to spread throughout countries over the next few years, future-proofing the device perfectly for its lifespan. T-Mobile has long held a radically different vision for 5G in America: that it should work everywhere and cost the same as LTE does today," Ray said on Thursday. As a tech enthusiast, there is something in the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ that just pushes all the right buttons. It absolutely smokes almost all flagship rivals in terms of internal hardware spec, punches hard across every feature area, and even delivers unique functionality with its S Pen digital stylus that other device's cannot match at all. We believe from a consumer perspective, you have to get to mass coverage," Gordon Mansfield, vice president of converged access and device technology for AT&T, said in an interview last month. No 90Hz/120Hz display refresh rate: Even in 2019 the high refresh rate display was a trend, but the Galaxy Note 10 series skipped it. The display just isn’t as nice as recent flagships because of this, and it definitely makes the Note 10 Plus feel a bit behind the curve. Under its skin, the Note 10 Plus uses Samsung’s fresh-faced homebrew silicon, the Exynos 9825. This is the first time we’ve seen this chipset powering anything, which is built using a more efficient 7nm manufacturing process and consists of a quad-core Cortex-A55, dual-core Cortex-A75 and another dual-core custom CPU. As usual, however, other territories outside of the UK will feature Qualcomm’s equivalent processor – in this case, the brand-new Snapdragon 855 Plus. Okay, the Note 10 Plus display doesn’t have a fluid, silky smooth 90Hz screen refresh rate seen in the OnePlus 7 Pro. And its curved edges do produce false touches if you tightly wrap your hand around screen. But no other phone has this good of a screen. Battery time is based on our own laboratory measurements, and may vary depending on factors such as device settings, usage patterns and operating conditions.

Whatstands out the most are the Note 10 Plus 12MP f/2.1 telephoto and 16MP f/2.2 ultra-wide lenses. They offer photos at varying perspectives, while a VGA Depth lens (exclusive to the Note 10 Plus) aides in applying 'Live Focus' bokeh to photos (the smaller Note 10 relies on software blurring). As you might expect, considering how much Samsung wants you to pay for one, the Galaxy Note 10 is far from lightweight. This certainly isn’t one of Samsung’s wallet-friendly A or J-series handsets – this is a phone that’s positioned itself as one of the best choices for someone with large piles of cash to burn. Yes, we complained about this on the S10 Plus, but porting Samsung Notes off of the phone matters so much more on the... Note 10 Plus. In fact, there’s so much stuff on offer here that it can be a little bit daunting at first. It’s clear that Samsung is trying to squeeze as many features into its native camera app as possible, but I do think that most, if not all, of these different shooting modes can serve a useful purpose. Although, I still don’t understand the point in a dedicated “food” mode, but perhaps that’s just me being a little bit old-fashioned. Here's what I found while taking the Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G out for a test drive and how its performance compares to other phones. With the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+, Samsung has relocated the titular O-shaped cut-out in the Infinity-O design. While the Galaxy S10series kept the hole, which houses the front-facing camera and helps the company achieve that impressive screen-to-body ratio, in the top right-hand corner of the screen and the Galaxy A8ssquirrelled its into the top left, the Galaxy Note 10 keeps its embedded camera dead-centre. You'll find these features and a stylus on the "normal" 6.4-inch Note 10, which has a more one-hand-friendly screen and cheaper price. But exclusive to the Note 10 Plus are faster specs, a microSD card slot, bigger battery, and ultra-fast charging speeds. The new design is definitely better than the Galaxy S10 look. But it’s still pretty inelegant in my opinion. The newhole-punch means the system icons still reside in the top left- and right-hand corners of the display, just like every other Android-powered smartphone, which is good. But the cycloptic appearance of the Note 10+ isn’t something that could ever credibly be described as “beautiful”– something that most definitely could be said of earlier Galaxy Note models. connectivity is a big part of the Note 10 Plus 5G's appeal, but it's not the phone's only feature. It has the same camera setup as the Note 10 Plus as well as the same Snapdragon 855 processor and 4,300 mAh battery. We plan to test those features, too, once we get more time with the phone.
