About this deal

Today, we have millions of users a month from around the world, and assess more than 1,000 products a year.

It’d be easy to underestimate a cleaner with such charming looks, but rest assured the Henry HVR 160-11 offers serious suction. It is possible to use a Henry vacuum cleaner without a bag and instead fill its tub directly though this is something that is hard on the vacuum's filter and ultimately its motor and should be avoided. That short wheelbase makes it possible to balance the Henry on certain deeper stairs but this is a sketchy activity that we’d advise against. If you have a house with allergy sufferers, the Allergy version is better; for most homes, the standard Henry will do the job. It comes with a special brush attachment meant to lift hair and an activated charcoal filter which will draw out dirt and neutralize foul smelling pet pongs.

Either way, both the HVR160 and HVR200 offer large capacities, but if you want as much capacity as possible then the HVR200 model should appeal. In addition to bag capacity, there is a difference in suction power as detailed above, though it’s only a small difference of 40 watts so it’s unlikely something that you’ll notice.A lever at the base of the tool can be flicked with your foot to adjust the position of the brushes at the faceplate; raise the brushes for use on carpets or drop them down for effective cleaning on hard floors. Also inside is a standard filter that prevents dust from escaping the body, although this model lacks the additional HEPA filter included with the Henry Allergy. In some ways, the Numatic Henry is a more basic vacuum cleaner than much of the competition, such as the Shark CZ500UKT.
