SUNGHOON: I think the dark and alluring characteristics of the vampire goes very well with ENHYPEN’s unique color as a group. Many aspects of DARK BLOOD draw inspiration from it and “Sacrifice (Eat Me Up)” sings of sacrifice for one’s destiny, so I think our listeners will be able to feel a similar vibe to “Bite Me.”

It reveals a fresh side of us, and lyrics like “Just come kiss me and bite me” deliver the message of a fateful blood-bond in a straightforward way. The six-song EP is heavily influenced from ENHYPEN’s fantasy novel/webtoon series DARK MOON : THE BLOOD ALTAR, which stars vampire characters based off the seven group members. Described in a press release as “a new roadmap for K-pop,” DARK BLOOD rolls ENHYPEN’s growing creative world and IP into its musical, visual and dance world. JAKE: Their producing and songs have brought this album to a greater level of perfection. This opportunity has also been a valuable learning experience for all of us.
