About this deal

Intense herbal aromas with freshly wild juniper, citrus notes; a fresh front palate with intense grassy notes, dry heather with maritime undertones and a rounded, floral finish.

Made on the 300 acre Echlinville Estate, the Jawbox Classic Dry Gin is situated on the historic Ards Peninsula near Belfast. Below, you’ll find a mix of well-known and often missed Irish gin brands that are well worth considering. 1. Jawbox Classic Dry Gin Garnish Island gin is a very special gin made using 16 botanicals. It is inspired by the unique Italian gardens on Garnish Island in west Cork. It was crafted by Deirdre Bohane, one of Ireland’s few female distillers, and includes locally foraged botanicals such as hibiscus, iris, rose, rosemary and thyme that are cold-infused overnight. Now that we have what we think are the best Irish gins out of the way, it’s time to see what else is on offer. Dingle Single Malt Whiskey Cask Strength, 60.2% (500 bottles) - Matured in bourbon, Oloroso and Pedro Ximinez casks. This gin is made in County Louth and features rosemary, rowan berries, elderflower, orange peel and cinnamon. Listoke 1777 Gin has a complex palate delivering notes of warm holiday spices, citrus and pine. As Moira suggests, An Dúlamán is a savoury, mineral, briny gin with the quite unique umami flavours of the Donegal coast alongside juniper and other botanicals. "It is a breath of sea air rather than a slap in the face," says James Doherty. No, these gigs will happen live in the moment so if there is a band you want to see make sure you get down to the venues early as entry is on a first-come, first-served basis. This year most acts will play twice so you have twice as many chances to see your favourite bands live in Dingle. A variety of spirits is produced here, including Jawbox Gin, Echlinville Pot Stil Gin, Bán Poitín, Dunville’s Irish Whiskey and several liquors. These are genuine field-to-glass spirits made from barley grown in the fields surrounding the distillery. Echlinville has also revived the age-old tradition of distillery floor malting.

You will be able to collect your wristband from the Hub when you arrive in Dingle. We'll be sharing the location of the hub next week. Will the Dingle Gin Music Trail shows be livestreamed? Last, but certainly not least, on our list is Drunshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin, which is produced by The Shed Distillery in Co. Leitrim. The distillery seeks to “fuse oriental botanicals with local Irish ones”, and the resulting gin strikes the perfect balance between spicy and fruity. This gin is carefully hand-distilled in small copper stills and the resulting product is an elevated gin that is versatile without being boring. There is plenty of juniper, allied to notes of pine, green herbs and flowers, with a touch of mint and a freshness that carries on through to the finish. a b "Whisky Intelligence: New on the Irish Whiskey Map "Dingle Distillery" Irish Whiskey News". 20 December 2012 .
