About this deal

I used the Focus wiring although I’m told that the Fiesta wiring is the same except the microphone wire is shorter (not an issue here) and is about half the cost of the Focus wiring. The instructions are fairly straightforward and they do have good support forums. Also these units are fully upgradeable with a bluetooth enabled laptop to allow for firmware upgrades and support for new phones. When you press the phone button it will now say no phone connected rather than mute. I did this on a Kuga Sony head unit and tested it with my ST Sony head unit as well as the standard CD6000 and all worked fine. Turn the steering wheel 90 deg. You will see a clip in the top half of the steering column cover, gently push in with a screwdriver, turn steering wheel 180 deg. the other way and do the same. Top half of the steering column can now be rotated towards the dash. To remove the lower half you undo the 7mm AF bolt at the top and the torx screw at the bottom, you can just let this half hang down, without fully removing it. I have always used 0000 as the pincode, and I am unaware what to do if all steps have been remedied and the pincode still fails. Hope this gets it working for you.

Thread the BT cable up to there and connect to the BT module, then mount the module using screw 1428699. Looking up under the dash, locate the oblong lip, with a plastic post towards one end - it’s behind the plastic piece on the dash, towards the centre of the car â€" this is where the BT/VC module mounts. First lift the arm rest (or whatever it's called), then gently pull up the centre consul, starting by the cup holder - you will find a join line inside the cup holder, pull on this and centre consul will come up (makes a horrible noise first time you do it) working forward towards the ash tray. Connect the connector of the mic lead to the connector of the loom under the steering column somewhere safe so it wont get caught. Having read the documentation that came with the car (which spans several variations of car and stereo model), I believe there may be the functionality to stream music from my iPhone to the stereo, however I just cannot figure out how to do it...To do this, depending on the make of your stereo, you need to play around with the phone menu. Find out how to debond and get rid of existing stored phones. bluetooth was an optional extra, and is available with the standard CD6000 as well as the Sony head unit. To retrofit, you need (I did this a couple of weeks ago with these); I have found, on the internet, a picture of a mic plug finis code: 1474203. Should I also use this?

Refit the stereo surround, reconnect the battery, switch on stereo, input your key code. Press the voice switch and you should here a beep, 10 secs later you should be asked “Device Please” say “Radio” and the stereo should reply “Radio”. This confirms everything is connected properly. If not the usual culprits will be the microphone wires. http://fordfcsd.wunderman.be/UK/Audio%20-%20Multimedia%20-%20Navigation/Bluetooth%20%26%20Voice%20control/ and enjoy the fun of learning the various commands. Direct CD changer port connection involving no FM Modulation for high quality sound without interference. Before I go out and buy the things that is needed for the retrofix, I would like to get confirmed that it is possible.
