Medium coverage: Build the first layer with a second one and blend with a blending sponge or your favorite brush. This concealer also contributed to the excellent results you see below. I also like the applicator since it’s a bit of a tip, so it’s easy to conceal precisely. Mind you; this concealer was lighter than I expected it to be. But I liked the shade since it gives a more brightening effect. If you don’t want that effect, I recommend buying a darker shade (the same shade as your foundation shade, for example).

Urban Decay Stay Naked Foundation Review The foundation dries down matte; however, it doesn’t feel dry on my face. I have combination skin, and even the dry patches on my face don’t feel irritated. I was scared that this foundation might accentuate the dry patches around my eyes and nose, but it didn’t!

In terms of formula, coverage and application, I truly think the Urban Decay Stay Naked foundation has something new to offer to the market. It has a medium coverage, but still looks natural. It is matte, but doesn’t adhere to dry patches. It is longwear, but never looks cakey. This foundation stays looking great all day and even survives a sweaty dance evening and a late night concert without touch ups. Urban Decay Stay Naked Concealer I decided to review both products in one blog post. I bought these together, they were launched together and both products are replacing some of my favorite products by Urban Decay: their Naked Skin foundation and concealer. Especially the concealer has been a firm favorite as it was a very lightweight, natural looking product. The same went for the foundation. But those have now been discontinued and have been replaced by the new Stay Naked line. This is definitely not the same product, so I was curious to see if I liked them as much. The foundation retails for €39, while the concealer costs €28. Urban Decay Stay Naked Foundation I’m surprised how good these stayed on! The only place I had some creasing was in my smile lines and a bit between my brows since I have a little frown line. Other than that, no creasing. It stayed perfect during the day; I didn’t do any touch-ups. I’m impressed! Alternatives

Dose of Colors Meet Your Hue Foundation& Concealer: Another combination I like is the Dose Of Colors Foundation & Concealer. They give a similar finish and effect as the Urban Decay duo and therefore make a great alternative if you want to try something else. Price point is quite similar, though, just like the formulas, so it’s quite a spot-on dupe. Full coverage: Use a flat brush like the Urban Decay Large Tapered Foundation Brush (sold separately). With concealer I always like to discuss the doe foot applicator in some detail. And this applicator definitely warrants a bit of a moment. The applicator isn’t a standard doe foot: no, it has a curve to it. This allows the wand to carefully hug your features for a super precise applicator. And that is not a line from a sales pitch. That is exactly how I have experienced this applicator. I do find that it holds a bit too much product to start off with. So I like to go in with the applicator, dot the product around my face and then use the applicator without any product on it to spread out the concealer. The Swatch Use the flat side of the applicator for a precise, light application, or lean into the curve for a heavier dose of concealer. Use it as a traditional concealer to cover dark spots and blemishes, or go a few shades lighter or deeper to highlight and contour cheekbones and facial features. It is definitely a very thin formula that spreads easily and is easy to blend out. And a little goes a long way: I only need one pump for a full face application. The good thing about this foundation: the claims it makes are true! It is matte, but also natural look. It has medium coverage, but the thin formula prevents it from looking cakey. I was pleasantly surprised when I first felt and saw this in person. The Shade Match And this also explains why this is NOT simply a replacement of the Naked Skin foundation. That was a very light coverage, hydrating foundation, whereas this is medium and matte. On my dry, dehydrated skin that usually means a challenge. But since it is Urban Decay and the promise is a natural feeling foundation, I was definitely intrigued. I didn’t plan on sleeping with these products, but I tested wearing both the products for a whole day. We’re talking about 11 hours wearing the foundation and concealer.
