About this deal

We then find Scrooge’s bedroom where he is awoken by the first Spirit, the child-like Ghost of Christmas Past! I absolutely love this set! It's a pity none of the ghosts are included though, as they are the most iconic and would make some great minifigures. Maybe we'll get another Christmas Carol gwp next year depicting Scrooge's bedroom and the three spirits? ?? Apart from the single drawer (which is perfect for tiny trinkets or treasures but serves no immediate purpose in the set), this set has no play features. The 2023 LEGO City Advent Calendar makes a great gift for kids aged 5 and up. Each surprise toy comes with easy step-by-step building instructions to ensurethat even new LEGO builders can enjoy a fun build-and-play experience. Dimensions – The LEGO® City Advent Calendar box measures over 26 cm (10 in.) high, 38 cm (15 in.) wide and 7 cm (2.5 in.) deep

Premium-quality toys – All LEGO® components meet strict industry standards to ensure they are consistent, compatible and fun to build with: it’s been that way since 1958 And that is totally fine, because the designer was instead able to focus on adding lots of detail and visual depth. The building’s walls are as complex as any you’d find in a modular, with sand green wallpaper and dark grey stripes around a few brown wood segments, all topped with a cap of white snow. The tiny Christmas tree is a sad thing that I’d poke fun at if it appeared elsewhere, but it’s perfectly fitting–if not even a bit extravagant–for Bob Cratchit’s parlor.Imaginative play – Festive LEGO® City Advent playsets come with colourful miniature builds and fun characters that stimulate creative role play Easy-build toys – Every surprise in the LEGO® City Advent Calendar comes with an easy-to-follow building guide printed on the inside of each calendar window While I do agree that generally they're better in yellow, A Christmas Carol is set in a time and place where these three would have this skin color, so I see their reasoning even if I'd rather they were yellow." Our Story Carousel idea features six classic scenes from the book - starting in Scrooge's living quarters as, late at night on Christmas Eve, he meets Marley’s ghost, the start of a series of encounters that will change Scrooge forever! A festive pre-Christmas gift – This toy-filled Advent Calendar makes a fun Christmas gift for kids and fans of LEGO® building sets aged 5 and over

Build the excitement as the festive celebrations approach with the LEGO® City Advent Calendar 2023 (60381). Kids can count down to Christmas with familiar festive characters, seasonal mini builds and accessories. Just fold down the cozy winter wonderland playmat to set the scene for endless imaginative adventures.

More To Do

Our idea is inspired by the classic story but is also a reworking of our entry for the previous Lego Ideas Pop-up book competition - https://ideas.lego.com/challenges/99a66402-19d3-4c70-a631-2d56b59a062b/appl... - from a Pop-up book to a working Christmas Story Carousel!

Turn the handle and through a simple gear mechanism hidden in the decorative box design, watch the story unfold as the carousel turns to reveal each scene! No batteries required – The buildable LEGO® toys and characters contained in this Christmas Advent Calendar are powered by little kids with big imaginations We next see the festive, food-filled living room setting where Scrooge finds the Ghost of Christmas Present (Come in and know me better, man!). This second Spirit then takes Scrooge to visit BobCratchit's small house, where he and Tiny Tim are helping to prepare their meagre but loving Christmas family dinner, complete with MrsCratchit's plum pudding of course! Look closely at the their window! I'm trying to plan my Lego Christmas shopping and was wondering, does anyone have any information on when this set will be available? Our Lego set idea is for an original concept - a “Story Carousel” of “A Christmas Carol”! Or maybe that should be “A Christmas Carol-sel”?! ;) This idea could make a great addition to your Christmas decorations and wouldn’t it look great on your shelf at Christmas time? The ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet To Come help to show Scrooge the error of his ways and he vows to change and to show more kindness and charity, starting with his own employee, the poor Bob Cratchit and his crippled son Tiny Tim. The drawer creates a small cavity that’s not quite big enough for a minifigure, but any kids who get this set are sure to be delighted because who doesn’t love secret hiding spots?
