About this deal

I love how the story was about an older man and a younger professional who defied the odds of falling in love. I love how mature they acted together, although when there were some bumps in the road, one of them freaked out. It was ominous and exasperating when you think about it, being burdened with decisions on what would be best for the two of them, but I guess that's how reality really was. I love how the characters dealt with the circumstances, admitted their shortcomings and learned how to forgive and move forward.

I won't give you the synopsis or take a chance on spoilers. I feel like this is an all or nothing kind of book! I hate to ruin your experience. *** YN is referred to with they/them but is very masc, so trust, my fellow male reader fic-enthusiasts. You will have no problem reading it. Language: English Words: 22,974 Chapters: 1/1 Comments: 14 Kudos: 45 Bookmarks: 6 Hits: 502 Is the music coming from here? Maybe someone left it on. Because I think he would've told me if someone was on this floor. Just when I thought I was going in the right of the direction of the plot, the mayhem veers off someplace else! For all the heartbreak, and infuriating stubbornness that seems to weave its way into these characters mindsets, even if they think they're doing the right thing. Gah! ( or maybe it's just me, it has been known to happen < clears throat looks away. >) There is copious of wittiness, fun banter, to downright scorching heat- I am talking~ hey, now where did that man come from... and can we have some more of that..?! Along with some pretty sage advice from a teenager here n there that makes me think maybe my teen is capable of ... NAH! Not possible! Just a good reminder of WHY I do read fiction! Ha.

Honey, stop complaining, you're not a baby any more," My mom glared at me through the rear view mirror. Any usual day by the pool with your best friend and he would appear at the patio door, with a beer in his hand asking you both if you would want a drink. His eyes lingering on your body for a second more than he should. Blurring the lines of what was appropriate for a second only.

This story had my attention from the beginning. Some of the issues were real-life situations that one may face, heartbreaking and heart wrenching. But the HEA made it all worth it in the end. Just go to any room and use the inner-com." I nodded. I started walking towards the right of the stairs. There was left and right stair case. I choose right because my room was on the right, right? This story was first incredibly sweet for a mafia story. I LOVED the FMC & MMC together. While the story definitely has darkness, there’s also a lot of sweetness & care to balance it out. This is definitely one of my favorites of this series. There were 3 doors on the right and 3 on the left. I heard noise coming through one of the doors on the right. Strange. I dropped my suitcase at the third door on the right. Literally just pure filth Language: English Words: 6,871 Chapters: 1/1 Comments: 23 Kudos: 1,032 Bookmarks: 141 Hits: 14,668As the story begins we are introduced to Lanie Jacobs who has just landed her perfect job - counselor at South Seattle High School. Not only is it her dream job, it was also her first application for a counseling job and it turns out, she is exactly where she is supposed to be. With her perfect job in place, the only thing she desires now is a relationship filled with passion, thrills and love. Has she used up her good fortune with the job or does fate have another answered prayer in her future? My mom shot me a nervous smile. She knows I've always wanted a cute gigantic house, now here it is.

I've been told that it is a withering portrait of narcissistic self-deception by a man who so thoroughly believes his own lies that his impending existentialist crisis, brought on by post-recession financial devastation and ever diminishing youth, will only force him further down the path of increasingly aggressive assertion of his self worth. But you could say that kind of thing about any song. My dad is the owner of a business, so was my mom, well, before they got the divorce. My grandfather is the one that made my family rich, seeing as he raised the company from the ground. Lanie is able to read Raven well and as her school counselor, she suggests Andrew spend more time with his daughter. In this book we meet Mindy Walker & Clint Sutton. When this book opens with Mindy being in a club with her friend from the rehabilitation center. When she sees her ex with another woman she is over the whole thing. When Clint comes up to her after she has been there for a bit she can't help but see his loneliness and sadness in his eyes. That will lead to them spending the night together. For over a month she hears nothing but notices something is happening with her dad. All she knows is she wants more time with him even if she knows she isn't what he wants. After that night Clint can't get Mindy out of his mind. No matter how much he wants to be with her he knows he can't because of her dad. When she calls him again he is like a teenager waiting on his first date. Can these two find their HEA or will others make sure that never happens?Their attraction is immediate and mutual, but a bit taboo considering Andrews current poor relationship with Raven. I really liked the way Raven reacted to/with their relationship. I thought she was going to be a deal breaker in this sweet/sexy romance and am happy with the way this all turned out at the end! There is more to the ridiculous relationship between Andrew and his daughter Raven then with the women he is dating Lannie. Every time something goes wrong with his wayward daughter he dumps Lannie. This is ridiculous and way to long. I kept thinking ok this story is going make sense soon but it never does. Andrew and Lannie didn't know at first that Lannie's father was one of Andrews best friends. As you read along it doesn't seem like Andrew and Lannie's father Bob are best friends at all but just acquaintances. There is no real relationship there. Andrew is having problems with his 17 year old daughter Raven. He's been a single parent for 10 years, and has been in the typical workaholic mode for years. Being attracted to your best friend’s dad can be hard, especially with him tempting you while your friends are in the next room Language: English Words: 1,382 Chapters: 1/1 Collections: 1 Comments: 7 Kudos: 729 Bookmarks: 68 Hits: 162,050
