About this deal

The simple story line—energetic bunnies take a bus, and then a train—doesn’t do the actual story told by the illustrations justice. This will minimise stress as your rabbit won’t feel completely out of its comfort zone while on public transport. Book Details ISBN 9781536211160 Publication Date July 14, 2020 Publisher Candlewick Press (MA) Text Details This book was typeset in Archer Book. The bunnies all seem to be enjoying themselves, the other animals on the street not so much as the bus won’t stop for them or they have to move out of its way. Suojatietä ylittämässä nähdään myös neljä koppakuoriaista - vanha vitsi lämmittää aina Beatles-fanin sydäntä!

The illustrations were just fab and I love their style, I should really check out what more the illustrator has done. I enjoyed reading this story with my child and looking at the pictures and seeing all of the small details.Rather than seeing it as an unfortunate delay of their project, Renata and Papi decide to let the avian carpenters continue their work. Well illustrated and a funny adventure, that was too light for my personal taste, but still entertaining and with rhythmic and rimes in the writing to make it perfect for reading out loud.

In the mean time the bunnies don’t know (or maybe they do) what their party is doing to the other animals. Each part of the story has a great rhyme to it and there is even some repetition of phrases like ‘Bunnies on the Bus’. You also want to prevent your bunny from seeing any sudden movements which can give them a real fright. Other parts of the illustrations have fun little extras like the names of some books or the name of a newspaper that made me laugh as its animal inspired.

He swerves around corners on two wheels, drives exceptionally fast, and even flies over bumps in the road. Repetitive phrasing in the rhyming verses adds to the frenzied atmosphere that quickly ensues…The illustrations alone will keep readers occupied for hours.

There are a few places where the rhyming and cadence trip you up, and the ending rhyme (or lack thereof—train/again) hurt the most, but it's quite a fun read aloud, and I enjoy it more each time I read it.Try to avoid the train or bus during peak hours– the train or bus will be extra busy and noisy which will stress your rabbit out. Watch as they whiz past the bus stop, fly by the swings, and zoom over the crosswalk — these bunnies aren’t stopping for anyone. It’s bouncy rhythm, and use of rhyme and repeated phrases mean that pupils will take great delight in joining in as they become more familiar with the text. With vivid, highly detailed illustrations and rhyming text (along with repetition), it reads quickly. Renata finds at a crucial moment that she can help the chicks learn to fly, even with the bittersweet knowledge that it will only hasten their exits from her life.
