Advise patients that latex contraceptives such as condoms and diaphragms may be damaged by clotrimazole pessaries, vaginal cream, and topical cream and consequently their efficacy may be reduced. Alternative precautions should therefore be adopted during use and for at least 5 days after using this product. Gelhorn pessaries, used to treat severe first-degree prolapse, have a solid, round base and a finger-like stem that keeps the pessary from twisting. Soft gel pessary at bedtime, at weekend when can have longer sleep. Put it in in bed and discard the applicator by side of bed - gross I know but it means it'll be in you and not move for at least a few hours. Do this 2 or 3 times a day for at least 2 weeks.
