Die nächste Sache wäre, dass Cameron mal erwähnt hat, er habe keine Kraft zum drehen weiterer Sequels wie 3, 4 und 5 die kommen werden. Das Ende des zweiten Teils deutet direkt auch den dritten Teil an, der dann storymäßig wie Teil 1 + Teil 2 wird. Die 4K Bluray ist definitiv die beste Möglichkeit diesen Film (in 2D) anzuschauen (außer natürlich in einem guten Kino). Und um ehrlich zu sein war es mit Aufbruch nach Pandora auch nicht anders mit dem Extended Collectors Cut.

Interstellar (wo zu Avatar kein Vergleich die Rede sein kann) hat sich da zeitmäßig krasser angefühlt (obwohl kürzer wie The Way of Water).Naja, aus meiner Sicht ist die größte Schwäche das Charakter Design, sorry die blauen Katzenmenschen sprechen mich total nicht an. The film is really engaging, but the photography and effects are beautiful, with so much emotion poured into it! Und die Dialoge sehr sehr Kurz gehalten (na'vi werden so oder so keine derart komplexen Gespräche führen).
