The Wheel of Time is NOT a part of Brandon’s larger interconnected universe of books, although you are free to imagine “that most possibilities of worlds are mirror worlds to the WoT…” Min throws herself at Fortuona, tipping over her chair as Ayyad and other Sharans come though a hole they create in the wall. Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series is a long journey, both wonderful and painful, that I had to listen to twice before I could truly appreciate it's coherent beauty. While most of the books I couldn't put down, a couple got quite long, and all tend to have A LOT of detail - from what people are wearing to what everyone is thinking about every facet of what they're about to do...

Jordan deliberately played up elements, foreseeings, and prophecies in the series that he knew were going to be minor. The Dark One takes Rand to a world that could exist. He is at first surprised as it doesn't have any of the decay and devastation of the previous world he was shown. When a street vendor, Renel, kills a street urchin with not even a second thought, and starts to look at Rand as though she would do the same to him, Rand begins to grow suspicious.Rhuarc stalks through Thakan'dar hunting Shadowspawn and Samma N'Sei, who he thinks of as the Honorless. He and his companions come across a group that are unable to channel fighting Aiel. They slay them, but Trask is killed. He sneaks up on one of the red veiled men who is able to channel and kills him. He thinks that the Aes Sedai and Asha'man are tiring.
