While lifting the flaps to read about each type of dinosaur the book describes – Tyrannosaurus Rex, Triceratops, Diplodocus, Oviraptor, and Pterodactyl – one can also see the sounds that each dinosaur is thought to make. The dinosaurs pop out of the book, making for an awesome 3D effect, and the the flaps move about so that readers can combine dinosaurs and see unique and entertaining varieties of dinosaurs, such as the Triceraptor, Tyrannodactyl, etc. It is cute and thoroughly enjoyable for anyone with a love of learning more about dinosaurs.Scheffler has illustrated over a hundred books. These include toddler books ( Pip and Posy), picture books ( Sam Who Went To Sea), poetry ( Fish Dream of Trees, Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats: 70th Anniversary Edition) and books for older children ( The Grunts, The Horror Handbook).
