An insight into the life of a farmer-turned-zookeeper, following the ups and downs through the seasons with Jimmy and the animals at his wildlife park in Suffolk. Tales From Jimmy’s Farm follows a year in the life of the farm. The narrative traces the seasons as Jimmy documents what it means to live on a farm and what each day holds for him, his wife and four young daughters, the land he is farming and the animals in his care. Our experienced Estates Manager, Gemma, and gardener Katie will be on hand to guide you through making that perfect wreath with foliage from our own gardens. The price includes all equipment and materials with lunch (soft drink only) or afternoon tea. Timings Along with a selection of seasonal recipes and easy conservation ideas, the reader will be transported into the landscape, learn of the practical day-to-day jobs on the farm, and fall in love with the animals through stories and funny anecdotes of where they came from, how they settled in and their impact on Jimmy and his team. Come and join our Estates Manager, Gemma, at one of our wreath-making sessions on Friday 2 nd and Sunday 4 th December, followed by our ‘farm to fork’ two course roast lunch or delicious afternoon tea.

Like all rescue missions, total success is not guaranteed. Despite all the efforts of experts from around the world we have suffered the loss of one of the bears as she arrived into her new home. Upon veterinary post-mortem it was established that the bear had an unknown heart condition from an early age that sadly meant she passed away.
