Use responsibly to protect your health. I’ve been using my Geekvape Aegis X for well over a year and not had any issues with the dual battery level indicators. I use several different matched pairs of batteries and not seen this condition.

Geekvape’s branding is kept to a minimum. Their name is printed into the top of the OLED display and the words ‘AEGIS’ are printed in white underneath the +/- buttons.

They both are durable, and they have many of the same power modes. The most significant differences are that the Aegis X is slightly more responsive because it has an improved chip and a larger screen. Once the top cap is removed, there are two decent sized slots to allow for a large tip e-liquid bottle to be used. Filling can be carried out using either slot. Hardly ever will a 18650 mod struggle with power delivery and this is the case with the Aegis X as well. Ramp-up time is near-instant and it will put out more power than you can realistically use; up to 200w. The Aegis X will even run down to 0.05 ohms if you’re crazy enough. Temperature control works with a little bit of fiddling, but the hit is consistent enough to call it decent. It’s by no means DNA Replay, but it will suffice. Unfortunately, the large screen does cause additional battery drain and it is very noticeable, so be sure to take that into account if the Aegis X will be your daily mod. The Aegis X 200W is a variable wattage (5W-200W) and temperature control (100-315 oC/200-600 oF) mod. As a bonus it also includes variable power curve mode and a bypass mode.The Aegis X is fully loaded with features. Power (wattage) mode with the option of soft, normal and powerful pre-heat options. Temperature control mode which includes SS, NI200, TI and TCR. When in TCR mode you can adjust the temperature coefficient for any value you wish. There are also modes for Variable Power Curve (VPC) and Bypass. This function will allow you to specify different wattages that can be applied to your coil over a vape cycle to fully customize your vaping experience. There are 6 variable wattage settings, each adjustable from 5W to 200W with each setting being adjustable over a time range of 0.5 seconds to 1.2 seconds. Either way, unscrew the coil from whatever part it’s still connected to. Re-fit a new coil into the bottom base of the tank ensuring the O-ring is intact on the coil as you screw it in. Don’t over-tighten but ensure it’s firmly in place. My normal style of vaping is a long slow draw, so I decreased the power level down to 32W. This I found was my ideal setting with a nice balance between flavor and vapor.
