About this deal

Delivery timescales are esimates in working days; Public Holidays, Saturday's and Sunday's are NOT classed as working days. Also, although this light is road specific (there are the Toro and MaXx for off-road) the bar clamp is sized for a 35mm bar. These are increasingly common for mountain bikes, but road bars tend to be 31.8mm. This means that in addition to the two halves of the split clamp, you have two spacers to keep control of as well.

Patented circuitry within the light will reduce power to the LEDs, if they go beyond the optimum temperature, keeping the light as efficient as possible to maximise output and battery capacity. Once cooled the output is automatically restored. There are a number of modes to choose from, both static and flashing, including DayBright, a pulse that cuts through distractions in the brightest sunlight. Intelligent Thermal Management prevents the light from overheating by reducing power to the LEDs when they go over the optimum temperature. Once cool again, the output will return to previous levels.

Exposure's Sirius MK7 Daybright is an easy-to-use light that's suitable for commuting – and more – and for getting you noticed in daylight. Various different programs allow you to choose the balance between brightness and run-time that best suits your needs, and the overall build standard is very high. Rear lighting that flares up automatically under braking. It can also intelligently adapt to the surrounding ambient light conditions to maintain maximum contrast and visibility, for example brightening for street lit areas and moving into sunlight from shade. Emma’s first encounters with a road bike were in between swimming and running. Soon after competing for GB in the World Age Group Triathlon Championships in Edmonton in 2001 she saw the light and decided to focus on cycling.Smart Port+ enables the charge port to accept auxiliary accessories such as rear lights, remote switches, Support Cells and use your light as a power bank to charge USB devices. OMS That doesn't mean it's perfect though. Although the DC power port works, there's no need for it. It's entirely possible to create a sealed connection with a USB-C cable and save everyone the hassle of dealing with something that isn't as common. As well thought out as the rest of the light is, requiring adapters doesn't make the same sense. The same basic thinking goes for the burn time vs power discussion. I did the research and helped you with the maths so that we can both understand how to calculate the desired runtime vs power. It doesn't make a ton of sense to require that though, Exposure could test the light and publish a burn time chart saving a bit of hassle. The light has a 7-hour battery charge time and a maximum run time of 36 hours, depending on the mode selected, and there's a fuel gauge to alert you to the remaining battery level so you don't get caught out. When not in Reflex programme one, I found programme four was the most suitable for my needs. In programme four on the high setting I managed to get 2 hours 40 minutes of run-time, a full 40 minutes longer than the light’s claimed endurance. Bespoke pulse pattern designed for daylight use which is more conspicuous than a regular pulse and visible from over a kilometre away, even in the brightest conditions. DayBright mode will get you noticed. Be Seen Be Safe. But great as the light is, there are some downsides – most of which centre around the clamp. Although the executions feel super high quality, the split clamp design does make it easy for the two halves to come apart. The mount isn't aero-bar compatible but fashioning something out of a silicone/rubber strip isn't out of the question, or you could fork out a fiver for Exposure's specific aero-compatible mount. A long press of the button engages the Daybright flash mode, recommended for daytime running, a setting that harnesses the full 850 lumens and is hard to miss even from a significant distance. The best bike light? The Sirius once the best of the best “to be seen” front light, now with the output increased to 950 lumens can easily light the road ahead when required. The Sirius hits the sweet spot for power to weight, housed in a CNC machined aluminium body that features 240° front and side illumination giving the flexibility to be used for the daily commute or longer rides. Thanks to Exposure's Optimised Mode Selector (OMS), all of these settings are customisable; that's to say, you can extend run-times by reducing the lumens.
