About this deal

She’s just getting her big break, and Farley believes a lot of her success can be attributed to her manager, Meyer (35). He stops, head turning to me quickly with a confused pout— as opposed to his normal, simply-just-existing perma-frown. So, I've had this book on my TBR for a while, and honestly I don't even know if I ever knew what it was about or if it was the cover that drew me in. it was hilarious reading the two of them pine for each other while thinking that their feeling was unrequited lol. The way it was about a public image, but became so much more about honesty and truth that's been hidden for years.

It’s a story that the author wrote for all the women that society deem as “too much” or “too offensive. And along with that, the author created a beautiful and strong love story that grips you from the start and won't let go until you turn the last page! Farley (h) is a standup comedian who’s starting to get more recognition and Meyer (H) is her best friend and manager. When I went back to that dingy motel room with the tempting stranger from the bar, I had no idea that he was my older brother's best friend. Still, Haley Raynor can’t deny that the pastry thief with the dreamy blue eyes looks even more delicious. And I can’t help the genuine laugh that tumbles out of me when he says this, because Hazel loves it.

I then proceeded to do whatever the opposite is of orgasm, as well as prayed to the heavens that I would not let a fart out onto this man and risk this being turned into his funny story. Although it shifted abruptly from fake to real dating, it makes sense since both of them were hesitant to make the first move from the start. But take it from me, an enemies-to-lovers addict, that the former trope is incredibly well done in FUNNY FEELINGS.From USA Today Bestselling author Adriana Locke comes a workplace romance between a grumpy, alpha architect and his new client—who just so happens to have the blueprint to bring him to his knees. A little bit on the sweet side for me and the humor didn't always land for me, but all in all a great story. She even has an interview for the department director position, so she can take on an even bigger role in the museum.

A former stand-up star himself, Meyer has helped the trajectory of her career take off since he began managing her… Since he became her closest and most treasured friend, in the process. Tarah Dewitt is not afraid to peel her characters' every layer to unravel their insecurities, their fears, but also their big hearts! At first I was a little worried I might not enjoy this book solely bc it’s about a female comedian who loves potty humor, which I reeeeaally just don’t like lol, but honestly it was pretty easy to still stay super invested in their story even if some of her jokes weren’t my typical brand of humor! Babysitting the team troublemaker when he’s forced to volunteer for the foundation where I work means I can’t exactly avoid him. FF follows Farley (Fee) an up and coming comedienne, to take the next step in her career a suggestion is made that she might “fake date” her manager Meyer who had his own comedic success at an earlier age but leans more into writing now as he balances working with being a single dad to his deaf daughter Hazel (totes book MVP btw she is legit the best! And I think that’s why I fell in love with her, because she can feel it, can feel that energy around her and is just as addicted to it as I am. Understandably, kids in novels aren’t everyone’s cup of tea in romance, but goodness gracious, sweet Hazel is the coolest kid I’ve ever read about in a romance novel and years from now, she deserves her own spin-off.

I dont think this was a bad book and I actually feel kind of bad giving it such a low rating because I feel like a lot of people would swoon hard and absolutely love it… but unfortunately i was extremely bored the entire time I read it and couldn’t wait for it to be over. If you are looking for a book with friends to lovers, fake dating, dual POV, grumpy x sunshine and so much more then I think Funny Feelings might be the book for you. I wish we would have had a little more time with the couple as a couple toward the end, but still so fantastic! She has written a beautiful romance book that is light-hearted in parts but also discusses the important topics of mental health and discovering yourself.

I found some repetition of dialogue unnecessary and lazy, it changed the flow of the story when the characters began sharing their thoughts and feelings with each other which just echoed the earlier narrative pretty much verbatim. I was going to have to learn to wear those feelings proudly without doing damage to the things or people I love, that I’d only hurt myself in the process if I did. I don’t know even if she did for her other books but so far she did for co-op and this one and I hope she always does that.
