About this deal

When our saucepans are being used, we use our sauté pan for boiling veg, for example. We also use it for stir-fries, frying steak, making sauces, and so much more. Sauté pans are fantastic on the hob. Of course, most sauté pans nowadays are suitable for use with induction hobs too. If the base is stubborn dirt, you can wet the pan soak first with hot water and a good degreasing dishwashing detergent. Next, if necessary, you can clean the pan with a plastic scouring pad and some liquid abrasive cleaning detergent. We have an article explaining the difference between frying pans and sauté pans here. However, many people want to know whether they should have a frying pan or a sauté pan in the kitchen, or both. I don’t think that choosing between a frying pan and a sauté pan is the right way to look at this. I think that having both pans in your kitchen is ideal.

However, if you can really only have either a frying pan or a sauté pan, I would choose a sauté pan. They are the most versatile piece of cookware (probably) that you can buy and will be a real asset in a small kitchen. Please note that during particularly busy periods, it may take a little longer to receive your delivery and our carrier may attempt to deliver to you on a Saturday. If you’re thinking about buying a sauté pan rather than a frying pan as you have a small kitchen or don’t really need two similar pans, I understand. My partner and I don’t really need two similar pans either, but both are a joy to use and allow you to make some complex meals. Think of a sauté pan as a frying pan that offers more. In fact, a sauté pan is a bit like a frying pan and saucepan rolled into one.Always select the proper electric burner size or adjust the gas burner so the flame only touches the bottom of the pan and does not climb up the sides. Professional chefs often use cookware made from carbon steel. This goes for sauté pans, frying pans, baking trays, and even saucepans. The reason they use carbon steel cookware over anything else is rather interesting. This discolouration is a normal reaction with stainless steel and heat. It is very simple and easy to clean. Either use stainless steel/copper cleaner, or just pour a little lemon juice or vinegar into the pan and wipe it clean with a paper towel or cloth. Will the stainless steel handles get hot? A strong handle is also a must – you should be able to lift a sauté pan with ease. A long handle lets you shuffle food more fluidly, while a ‘helper handle’ on the side can offer extra support. A metal handle is strong and can provide better resistance, while a plastic handle remains cool and comfortable enough to grip. As I stated in that other article, I have both. My partner and I had one frying pan for years, and then one day, she bought home a sauté pan because she had always wanted one. This begun our obsession with sauté pans, but we still use our frying pan all the time too.

So, you can use a sauté pan for everything that you normally use a frying pan for. However, you can also use it for meals that have a bit more liquid too. So, you can use a sauté pan for steaming, poaching, deep-frying and searing. Or you want a really versatile piece of cookware that you can use for a host of cooking tasks, a sauté pan is a great choice. You can fry steak, cook amazing, one-pot meals and if you really don’t fancy washing up a saucepan, boil some veg too! This white film is caused by minerals in the water or from the starch released by certain foods during the cooking process. Either use stainless steel/copper cleaner or just pour a little lemon juice or vinegar into the pan and wipe it clean with a paper towel or cloth. Why are there scratches and/or pit marks in my stainless steel cookware after using them just a few times? Designed with THERMO–SIGNAL™ technology and a versatile THERMO–Fusion™ base, this Tefal sautepan provides an ideal cooking temperature and can be used on all hob types, ensuring that every meal is created with perfection. It is difficult to give a number of years, because the service life will differ depending on the conditions of usage and frequency of use. To extend its service life, you should protect it from unnecessarily high temperatures and refrain from heating a pan empty. A medium to low heat is sufficient. Do not store cooked food for a long time (one day or longer). Where can I buy accessories, consumables or spare parts for my appliance?

To remove burned food stains from stainless steel cookware, place cold water in the utensil and bring the water to a boil. Allow the water to cool before washing. A good cleaner may be used to complete the cleaning. The use of steel wool, a steel brush or scratchy cleaner on the polished surface is not recommended. Technical support The handle on my pan seems to have loosened slightly, what can I do about this? Size matters when it comes to sauté pans. It should be wide enough to accommodate food without being overcrowded or difficult to lift. A 24-26cm sauté pan is great for basic cooking, while 30cm and above is ideal for those larger dinners for the whole family. An exterior coating protects your cookware from the harmful consequences of dishwashing. It is therefore extremely important not to damage this coating and we recommend that you avoid the use of scouring pads (Scotch Brite). A brilliant set, and very clever idea. The pans themselves are the usual high Tefal quality, with excellent coating that feels very durable. The handles feel robust and like they will stand up to plenty of abuse over time - certainly no problems in the few weeks I've had them so far.”
