Precision gearing with ball and needle bearing construction for smooth and efficient power transmission

The Makita HS0600/2 240V 270mm Circular Saw is a brilliant tool for professional carpenters, kitchen fitters and DIY enthusiasts. Able to generate a no-load speed of 4300rpm and with a depth of cut at 90°, you will be able to make long and accurate cuts even in hard wood such as solid oak. Its compact and lightweight design makes it easy to use and the ergonomic soft grip also makes it comfortable to use over prolonged use. To withstand tough working conditions the base plate is made from durable aluminium that is also light enough not to compromise the balance of the machine. Sold as a bare unit without batteries or chargers.

Included accessories

the tool is not an Air Compressor/ Air Tool, a Battery/ Charger, an Accessory, or a Petrol or Production Tool

Delivers the trusted performance of the Makita 5007F 7-1/4" Circular Saw with the capacity to cut 4x lumber in a single pass It mows through pine without issue. It seems appropriately powered; not bogging down but not feeling uncontrollably overpowered. The big blade guard handle is handy. The front handle takes getting used to but feels sturdy. I was initially worried that the safety switch would be a bother but frankly I haven’t even noticed I was using it. I definitely like the weight. While I wish it was lighter, I’m glad it’s not as heavy as the competition. Depth and bevel controls are standard; Which isn’t to say “great” but few saws have precision depth and bevel. The included 24T std. kerf ATB blade cuts decent tough I’ll probably end up replacing it with a 40T blade when it wears out. The Makita HS0600 is a 270mm Circular Saw, and has been developed for enabling single pass-cutting of a 3-1/2"(89mm) 4x wood. Its lightweight and ergonomic design makes it easy to use and manouevre, and it's compatible for use with a guide rail. If the tool is faulty within 30 days of buying it, we will arrange for its collection at no cost to you and supply a replacement. My biggest complaint is that the switch handle is uncomfortable. It doesn’t fit my hand well at all. It’s too big around and it’s square in profile instead of an ergonomic oval shape. It’s also kinda slippery having no rubber overmolding like most other saws these days. If it wasn’t so big already, I’d consider wrapping it with grip tape. I’m just glad this isn’t my everyday use saw.
