About this deal

Browse the complete collection for more and enjoy playing any of these free online ninja games on your desktop and mobile devices. The student’s aim is to press the red coin without getting a karate chop, AKA MASSIVE SLAP (it doesn’t hurt – I’m just being dramatic) from the master to win a point! The code breaker has up to 12 attempts to break the code and each time they are told (using other coloured pegs) whether they have any pegs of the right colour in the correct position, or just how many pegs they have placed are the right colour but in the wrong position.

The game itself had a bit of an air of mystery about it. The box cover featured a seated business man and a woman of Chinese appearance stood behind him. The game itself is nowhere in sight. How peculiar. Described as being a game of cunning and logic, Master Mind is all about one player setting a code (made up from four coloured pegs) and their opposition trying to work out what it is. Each time they make an attempt to guess, the code maker scores their efforts to give them hints about what they should try next. Now, the bit we weren’t totally clear on is if you tell the code breaker which peg is the right colour in the right position. We did, but I’m finding rules online that suggest you should go either way. This was our first attempt so I was keeping things easy. However it was not just the kids that loved playing Slap Ninja. My husband couldn’t wait to get his hands on the game to prove himself as the Master Ninja. If they kids enjoyed zapping each other they definatley loved zapping Daddy more.

I found the board a little bit fiddly to use, and again I can see how that might have put some players off. Especially if they had big fingers. Slap Ninja is designed for two players; one the Ninja Master the other student. The aim of the game is for the student to grab the Ninja’s without being slapped by the Ninja’s huge chopping hand. But, before we move on to deluxe Master Mind, let’s start with the original game. Modern day Master Mind

Moose adored playing this game. It takes no set up, it’s small enough to take in the car and there are no small parts to lose. He has challenged every member of the household and has so far held his position as ninja master. The Aim of the game is for the student to hit the coin button without receiving a slap from the master! Do this 3 times and you win – and the master must feel the buzz of shame (don’t worry, it doesn’t hurt at all. Unlike the ache from your dented ego when a small child beats you at Slap Ninja…) Isabelle started as the Student and loved trying to ‘steal’ (or should we say press) her brothers coin, as much as Harry loved trying to slap her hand. To Isabelle’s delight she won the first round resulting in Harry getting zapped. They then proceeded to take turns at being the Student and the Master loving it when the other got zapped. One of the most obvious things when you look at the deluxe Master Mind box is that a different couple appear on the cover. Again you have the seated white business man, but this time behind him is a woman of Indian appearance. It’s still an iconic look, but a different couple. This extended version of the game also appears to have gone by the name Super Master Mind too. The games inside are identical from what I can tell, but the name different. Possibly for different markets. You see, as an incurably hopeless, wish-upon-a-star daydreamer, when my first baby boy came into my life, I swiftly realised that being the parent you thought you would be, and creating family memories to treasure in the way you imagined before your baby was born [and keeping you awake all night] is a real challenge.

The rules of Slap Ninja are quite straight-forward, and it’s aimed at 4yrs+ which I would agree with. For Millie and Toby this type of one-on-one challenge is a game they love. Of course, there was lots of arguing and maybe a little bit shouting and pouting but all in all they did have a lot of fun. I did not have so much fun as Tracey, who beat me three to nothing. I shall have my revenge when we next have a games evening! The Slap Ninja controller is modelled after a karate bench. On top there are 3 led lights at either end. One of the “bench legs” is plain, the other has a small button on it and a trigger. Above this “bench leg” is a red coin and a giant ninja hand. TheSlap Ninja game is aimed at children aged 4 and up. I think that this is pretty accurate. Not least because the trigger to control the giant hand takes some effort to squeeze. Slap Ninja is a game for two players ages 4 and up. If there are more of you, run a tournament and time each other’s wins. You can either be the Master or Student. With one hand on the game controller, which is styled as a karate bench, as the Ninja Master, you’re using your huge karate chopping hand to protect the red coin in your other palm; as the Student, you’re trying to gain points by successfully tapping your Master’s treasured coin. Some of us got very excited playing the Master in Slap Ninja… As with so many games of this period, there’s an obvious educational angle to Superpuzzle, which is why it reminded me so much of school maths lessons. It’s also the kind of thing that children of today might smirk at a bit, but yet when my nine year old walked in on me playing at the kitchen table she suddenly wanted a go! Spear’s Superpuzzle – the factsMoose is heavily into all things ninja at the moment. He was therefore overjoyed to arrive home from school to find a brand new ninja focused game ready and waiting for him! What’s in the box?
