About this deal

It’s not the best if you’re a lower handicap player because it doesn’t offer as much feel, control around the greens, or the ability to draw/fade the ball. They still can work though, and I still use them every now and again (not quite a low handicap player). The low compression core and sturdy iothane cover helped me maximize compression and ball speed while lowering spin. These components elevated my launch and ball flight, which was not ideal for my preferences. As I expected, the Noodle distance ball was hard off the face and on my teeth when I did the classic bite test. It was also hard off the clubface, one of my least favorite aspects of the Long and Soft. Taylorma… Sorry, Noodle’s flagship ball has always been the Noodle Long and Soft. This ball was ideal for those players with slower swings who wanted all of the benefits of a distance ball without sacrificing too much feel. And it appeared to work. The current range features the Noodle’ Long and Soft’, the Noodle’ Neon’, and the Noodle ‘Easy Distance’.

Remember, 200 yards but in the fairway is all you need. Noodle Long And Soft Specs Noodle Long And Soft The effortless launch produced by the Noodle Long and Soft is a winning feature, which will specifically benefit slower swing speeds. The only downside of the enhanced launch is the risk of ballooning shots, which I experienced several times during testing. Distance Skill Level: Golfers at different stages of their skill development may benefit from different types of balls. If you’re a beginner, you might prefer a Noodle golf ball with a lower compression rating, as this can help you achieve greater distance even with a slower swing speed. More experienced golfers may benefit from a higher-compression ball that offers more control. While marketed as low compression, they aren’t the softest feeling balls you will encounter. That Iothane cover only goes so far… I was surprised at how ‘hard’ they felt trying all three of the different Noodle golf balls. The truth is that Noodle golf balls are pretty good. Especially if you are a player with a relatively slow swing speed (I’m talking sub 100mph).For the more flamboyant golfer that wants color in their game, Noodle offers red, blue, and lime green neon matte-colored golf balls. The neon matte colors increase the visibility of the golf balls in flight and are easier to find on the ground. TaylorMade Noodle Long and Soft golf balls are traditional Noodle golf balls aimed at golfers with a swing speed between 80 mph and 90 mph. It comes with a durable high-quality Iothane cover with 342 dimples designed for an increased spin around the greens. Extended Flight: Thanks to their patented dimple design and high-quality construction, Noodle golf balls offer extended flight, allowing players to achieve greater distance coverage with each shot. The 2-piece construction offers a low compression core with a 38-compression rating wrapped in a Trionomer cover using 332 hexagon dimples. The Trionomer cover is based on an Ionomer cover with some added resins for durability. The consistent flight path exhibited by Noodle golf balls is another attribute that sets them apart. Due to their aerodynamic design and energy-loaded core, these balls maintain a steady trajectory even in windy conditions. This predictability in flight path allows golfers to better plan their strokes and aim with increased precision.

When it is cold outside, a golf ball (and other objects) stiffen up. If you play a lot of early morning golf, then asofter ballwith a lower compression value is preferred. Altitude You can use the compression rating of the golf ball above in the golf ball compression chart, along with your experience to match up the right ball to buy today. Experience LevelI found a Noodle in the bush one time (hole 4 or something) and it actually lasted the entire rest of the round. It’s not going to fix your hook or slice but I think you’d see better results using a softer ball like the Noodle. Noodle golf balls are manufactured in Korea’s TaylorMade Adidas Golf manufacturing facility. This creates the certainty that these golf balls undergo strict manufacturing and quality controls that conform to the legal requirements set by the various governing bodies of golf.

Durability: The outer cover, made from ethane, is remarkably durable and resistant to cuts and abrasions, meaning these balls can withstand extensive use without losing their performance capabilities.

What are the best golf balls on a budget?

Relative to the other balls in the Ball Lab database, the weight consistency of the Long and Soft qualifies as average. If you are a beginner golfer and you aren’t sure where to begin, a soft golf ball with a low compression is always a good choice for you. Lowercompression ballscan give you more yardage off the tee box when you are just starting out. As with other metrics, the overall quality rating was dragged down by a box that varied significantly from the first two. While slow to moderate swing speed players likely won’t notice the difference, mid to faster swing speed players risk over-compressing the ball and losing distance. As far as feel is concerned, it’s reasonable to predict most will find it softer than Tour balls like the Titleist Pro V1 or even the Bridgestone Tour B XS. However, relative to other two-piece ionomer balls, it’s solidly mid-compression. Noodle Long and Soft – Diameter and Weight
