A lot of people like watching their content rather than reading it. The cord is a nice red color which adds a touch of character to the headset without being too distracting. It's a thin cord of decent softness/flexibility, and does an above average job of dampening movement noises when moved. You can still hear movement in the cord, but it is dampened more than normal cables.
The included controller with call buttons is mounted a little further from the headset than I'd like. You can tell this is the same headset as the 5220t, which is designed to be used without the USB adapter, which makes the cord a great length for tablet/computer/phone use. It has a metal headband that is honestly not pleasant to touch, but conveys a sense of durability compared to a plastic headband. That being said, your head actually touches the elastic cushion that balances the headset nicely on the top of your head. I have a large head, and found the squeeze pressure to be "average" compared to a lot of other headphones I use, but slightly more pressure than my previous Plantronics phone headset that is lighter and for phone use only. Functionality While on the subject of the headband, it adjusts so you can make it longer or shorter to fit your exact need. One minor thing here that’s a bit unique is the 5220 headband has numeric reference when adjusting.
