About this deal

One of my frustrations with swimming are the large administrative costs for me to get to a pool. I generally have to get my workouts in before 7am, so maximizing this time is essential. I don’t mind swimming laps, I just have trouble justifying all of the lost time commuting to and from, pool hours limitations etc. Enter VASA. I decided to try and leverage the time savings the Vasa Erg offers with a goal of improving swim times, but also spending more time running and biking. Unfortunately, there is a paucity of swim coaches who would embrace and help guide my “swimming without getting wet” approach. Swim coaches’ general knee-jerk response to the question – “how do I swim better” is “swim more”. I found coach Eric Neilsen at TSRF and reached out to him to provide guidance on how to best utilize my time on the Vasa. He is not only a gifted swim coach, he is a Vasa advocate and experienced user. He was very accommodating and supportive of my situation, and I feel the workouts that he provided and the training build he designed were really productive. Because there are metrics associated with a Vasa, I could see my power and pace improving. I knew and could feel I was stronger. I proved that in a few of my rare pool workouts, as well as in setting swim leg PR’s in several triathlons leading up to IMMT ’15 and IMWI ’16. I am very pleased with my swim times in races relative to my build, and plan to continue to primarily use a Vasa as my primary swim training accessory. The hip roll and body rotation on the SwimErg bench can be done by engaging the core abdominal and torso muscles to transfer that energy into the pulling arm from the catch to the finish of the stroke. While the body will not roll as much as in the water, you can activate the right muscles and timing to increase pulling power significantly. An ExerSwim T&R swim current machine is designed for rehab and therapy purposes. It features variable resistance and is designed for flexible, aquatic workouts. Its ergonomic design makes it simple to install and remove. It can also be used for other types of fitness activities. It can be recharged in a standard 15-amp 110-volt outlet. It can be wheeled up to the pool edge and placed in the water. Remco SwimJet Hybrid systems are another strand of swimming machines available. They feature self-contained micro pools similar to the counter-current type but use a flexible tether to keep the swimmer in place and help the swimmer from hitting the side of their exercise area. These systems, being human-powered, need neither machinery nor electricity but have to be carefully designed to suppress wave formation. The second type allows a person to remain on dry land while simulating certain swimming strokes. Machines of the latter type, however, can not compensate for the weight of the body and the limbs and thus deprive the user of the benefits of exercise in an aquatic environment. However, the higher effort required by such machines, in the absence of the metabolic effects of immersing the body in water, makes these devices more effective than true swimming if one's purpose is to achieve weight reduction. Similar in purpose, but not qualifying as swimming machines since they require access to a swimming pool, are various tether systems. Resistance Swim Spas beat the current stainless steel swim spas.

After years in the gym, you learn or can tell when something is working for you, even before you can prove it with results. My reaction to the Trainer went “that way”. I could tell it was “working” for me within two weeks of getting it. Maybe the benefits are more specific to me because I suffered so much nerve damage as a toddler — but I found that I was able to fine tune the work I was doing on the Trainer very easily, and do it better than any Lat Machine, Chinning Machine or Pulleys/Cable Crossover Machine I have used. The Badu Jet Super Sport is available with suction and discharge in one piece. It also has an on/off switch, volume control, LED light, air regulator, and thermal overload protection. The Badu Jet super-sport is one of the most popular models available, and the highest level of its line. It is ideal for low-impact exercise, therapy, low-impact workouts, and recreational fun in existing pools. ExerSwim

If you're looking for a swim current machine, you've come to the right place. There are a number of different options on the market, but which one should you buy? Here we'll compare the Fastlane, EVAstream, BaduJet super-sport, and ExerSwim, and explain what they have in common. Ultimately, we'll come down to one machine that works well for every person. Fastlane You select a training session at your own level on the DMX Advanced controller. The underwater lights turn white, you now have one minute to take your starting position. You are in the water, about 2.5 meters from the machine… you are ready to go. The lights turn red and the machine switches on. You start with an endurance exercise at a medium pace. You swim against the current. The current is stable and strong, without splashing water. It feels like you are swimming in a 25-meter pool. The underwater lighting guides you through the training. Each exercise is built up in three parts; you start the exercise with red light, after one third the light turns green, and you end the exercise with blue light. The changing light colours give you orientation within the exercise and also motivate you. Are the lamps turning blue? You know you are almost there, you just take it a step further! Rest breaks are also built into every exercise. The lamps colour white, the EVAstream is turned off, you can catch your breath. After an endurance exercise at a fixed pace, an exercise with progressive speed and a series of sprints, the cool down follows. You have finished your training.” The Fastlane turns your pool into a brand new playground for a summer full of fun.." it also makes kids enthusiastic swimmers while providing a safe and creative play environment. The staff and customer service are great. And the quality is superb — remember the good old days when “Made in The USA” meant something was well made — well it still happens at VASA.Swim Spas, as the name suggests, are a combination of a spa (or hot tub) and an exercise pool. Single-zone models are typically a fibreglass pressure-driven exercise pool which has swim jets at one end, and one or more spa seats fitted with massage jets at the other. [6] Swimmers and athletes have praised the integration of both a hot tub and swimming machine model since they can use it for exercising and recreational purposes. The custom designed outlet produces a flow of water that is wide, deep and smooth, producing an ultra-smooth current. The Vasa Trainer is simply the best strength training machine for swimmers, triathletes, surfers, paddlers, physical therapists and other top athletes. Smarter training with the Vasa Trainer delivers these key benefits: The Elite Endless Pool is a counter-current swimming machine that is revolutionising the way in which swimming is taught and coached. The Elite offers a unique, industry-leading opportunity to analyse and document every aspect of the swimmer’s technique. Multiple adjustable cameras and mirrors gives the swimmer and their support the ability to see exactly ways in which they can improve.
