Heap tender epithets upon me," warbled the bride; "hurl as many as you like at me, I shall not flinch much, for, though an arid imperious spirit, I love you.""You are a geeser," said her husband, who had married for money. "A geeser," exclaimed the elderly better half, with eagerness, "what's that?""Oh, confound it! how your education must have been neglected in early youth," said the lord of creation in a lofty manner; and then, after an explanation, they had quit a little tiff. After the talk we looked around the museum. I asked Frank questions about the tins and he pointed out one of a toy castle. Frank Turner showed me this Castle biscuit tin with folding sections Gipson played as a defender, and his team is and has always been Leyton Orient. ‘‘My heart’s always been with them.’ He would walk to games because the shilling his mother gave him was just enough to get in. Then when the game was over, he would collect autographs and walk home. The Bald Geezer is the only NPC in the web series to have remembered the events of a previous reset after Dan died, this occurred in Stage 8. He also showcased symptoms of PTSD when he recalled the events. Gary introduced Frank Turner, who he described as his living exhibit. Frank had started work at the factory as a police officer in 1960 after he’d come out of the Royal Air Force. He soon transferred to the company fire department, eventually becoming its chief officer. Statuette honouring Chief Fire Officer Frank Turner

got the hike about us so they started a women’s group,’ he laughs. ‘They wanted to know what we was doing.’ As part of the Where’s My Boozer? campaign, the Bow Geezers had compiled a list of East End pubs which had closed down over the years. That list became the template of the new mural on Arnold Road, which pays homage to the several drinking institutions that our borough has lost. But a male old geezer appears less than two years later in " Now, Which Is It, Please," in Judy, Or the London Serio-comic Journal (November 23, 1887): Gary said that Peek Freans was the first factory in London to be supplied by electricity. I later read that in 1891 the London Electric Supply Corporation opened Deptford Power Station supplying the UK’s first AC power. Their cables ran alongside the railway, so this would make sense.

Andy Davidson of Vegas, the research company which coined the term after a series of interviews with young Britons, said: 'Geezers want to construct their own identity. These people don't get their self esteem from their jobs or their education. They express themselves through brands. As such they put a huge store on premium brands.'The Geezers appear in the game during the tutorial and throughout each level. Throughout the game they venture through each world while occasionally getting separated. While they do partake the same role, there are significant differences in regards to what happened with the Geezers in the official game version of Stage Eight. First, they are shown vandalizing various property of the King alongside the Resistance (though they most likely weren't aware of their true actions until later on), and they pointed out to Dan the existence of a secret area during the prologue. They are also shown to be helping out a lot more in action, as they are seen charging into the Forest Ranger, only to fail, and flee. The Geezers have sprites of themselves in the files drinking beer, though they don't do this in the game.

Last night the Active Energy initiative was awarded the Knowledge Exchange/Transfer Initiative of the Year accolade at the Times Higher Education Awards 2022 in London. Joseph Wright, The English Dialect Dictionary, volume 2 (1900) similarly notes that a geezer may be male or female: geezer {slang}. Dial[ectal] form of obs[olete] guiser, mummer. See guise. [Cited example:] Nice old geezer with a nasty cough [—](Albert Chevalier). This, however, is geezer in the unrelated sense of "a drink of whiskey or other alcohol, which J.E. Lighter, Random House Historical Dictionary of American Slang (1994) traces to Lincolnshire, England in the year 1866. It appears that this geezer may have to have reached the United States earlier than the eccentric old man did.

An Elephind search finds an instance of "old Geezer" from 1873. From " Chips by a Sandalwood Cutter," in the [Fremantle, West Australia] Herald (September 13, 1873), narrated by an unidentified male character/newspaperman: Soaring energy costs, a reduction in consumer budgets and shifts in London’s demographics have all contributed to the gradual disappearance of these institutions.

Geezer (popular), wife, old woman. Dutch slang, geeze or geese, a girl, a mistress, vide GANDER. Also a man derisively. Ryder later changed his radio name to Caesar the Boogieman when he landed his own show on Invicta Radio after Rod Lucas left the station. Caesar the Boogieman orchestrated some ambitious on-air practical jokes during his time at Invicta. One example: he built up the premise that an asteroid was about to hit the moon, creating a bright light. It would only be safe to look at the light by wearing sunglasses. The show had its serious side with legal advisors and social workers as constant guests helping listeners with problems. [ citation needed] He'd flirt and boat, but never wrote A note to his old geezer. — J.F. Mitchell: Jimmy Johnson's Holiday. Some people have created non-canon names for the Geezers as well, the most mainstream being Steve and John. In a vlog episode about the Midas Touch event (formerly the 5th anniversary event) in Dan The Man, he states that his top 5 favorite things are Dan's name, his event, the Geezers, Dan's abilities, and his headband.

This decline in pub culture was the impetus for the Where’s My Boozer Gone? campaign, in which the Geezers modelled for a nude calendar inside the Eleanor Arms pub. Thirty-five Tower Hamlets pubs have since been protected from development (for now). The Geezers’ nudes weren’t directly credited for this, but we know. We know. Changing times Enter the Geezers, male and female factory workers and manual labourers aged 18 to 24, who have been working since they left school and have high disposable incomes which they love to spend on designer brands and alcohol.
