Unfortunately, readers aren’t given full context of their relationship before they got together, while they got together, and after they ended it. all they done was treat cal badly and excluded him simply bc he left and broke alana’s heart, holding a 6 year grudge while he was struggling w addiction drove me crazy. Cal went to Cami to say bye and I cried at this interaction, he told Cami he was sick and needs to get better and will be away for a while but promises to come back.He defends Declan for always looking out for Cal, Declan wanted to prevent Cal from going back to Lake Wisteria since it made him drink more. While some would say that he has the kind of life most would envy, there always seem to be roadblocks in his path to happiness. Also, Alana says she wants to help Cal but also doesn't really offer much support for fear she and Cami are going to get hurt. Mish wrote: "I didn't understand how are you a “family” and care zero about someone you are aware is struggling with his addictions.

Still, I'm going to count the book for my Reading challenge because I think reading 300 pages of a book is enough for it to count. Ever since I read a little bit about Cal in the previous two books, I was so excited to finally read his story. She excused her character a lot with her Colombian roots, and this falls into the cliché of the Latin temper once again. Overall, Final Offer was enjoyable and would recommend it to fellow contemporary romance readers, especially those who love second chance romances! There was never any mention of her trying to contact Cal to keep him updated regarding her life even as a friend or just checking how he was doing as a friend.Cami told Lana everything, even wanting Cal to be her dad but Lana doesn’t trust Cal to stop his addiction. I've read three books by this author and she's consistently writing the FMC's in such an annoying way it's just bad to read. The will had a different condition and an unexpected pregnancy story to give the characters more time to grow. But after reading about how he treated Lana during their previous relationship, I was not rooting for them to get back together. I have it on my tbr pile but won't be rushing to read it, what a shame about the length and the pace!
