About this deal

It's particularly worth listening to the audiobook - much emotion and vulnerability come across in certain places. This book is brutally honest and not an easy read but like Joe it’s full of love, humour and ultimately hope. I saw his 48 second gymnastics commentary on Twitter and immediately started following him, not knowing anything more about him. I will now use a simple but hopefully effective metaphor to demonstrate how much easier it is to understand something you can’t see if you imagine that it’s something you can.

I don't owe Joe Tracini my life, but I do owe him for the silly joy of his captivatingly cringy dance videos in lockdown. Speaking on Lorraine about her relationship with the 27-year old actor, who played Hollyoaks' Dennis Savage, Tamaddon said: "We are very happy. Joe Tracini was born in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, the son of comedian Joe Pasquale and his second wife, Debbie Pasquale.Joes story is far from pretty and very heartbreaking at times and the reason behind him writing this book is one of pure honestly.

His top 3 favorite things are food, sleep and avoiding social interactions, and he has a deep hatred of writing about himself in the third person. But the lost has miraculously been found and over the Christmas holidays I have been able to launch into the second half. Joe had a series of rock-bottoms and then a basement and he takes us through the horrendous addiction hopping and base-line desire to kill himself in detail. Joe Tracini manages to tell the story of someone (himself) who is fighting to survive on a daily basis without it ever becoming self-pitying or depressing (although, obviously, the book deals with topics such as mental illness, addiction, self-harm, and drug abuse, among others). You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie Preferences, as described in the Cookie Notice.

He tries to explain what your life is like when you essentially have a brain that's trying to kill you every day. Fear of abandonment, unstable relationships, chronic feelings of emptiness, impulsive self-destructive behaviours, explosive anger, self-harm, paranoia and disassociation, extreme emotional mood swings and an unclear, unstable self-image. He left Hollyoaks in 2014 after a three-year stint, thinking he would go on to something bigger and better. For those that do not suffer from a mental illness, can you imagine that scenario playing out hundreds to thousands of times a day with each task, interaction, or memory? The thing that I think I liked most (if that’s that right word to use) is making people see that just because you’ve been fixed once, it’s okay to break against, it’s not a once fixed always fixed kind of illness.Part of my job is working with children who have suicidal ideation, self harm which affects their mental health. I don’t have the words to explain how helpful it is to know that you’re not alone, that you’re not the only one to have a broken brain if i can say it like that. Without knowing who, where or how you are, the fact you’re reading an article about hope tells me 3 things about you.

Most importantly, it’s funny – I’m not a one for ‘misery memoirs’ – and laughter is the best medicine etc. So I used to chat with Joe on social media long before the world knew his name and his love of leotards.Away from television roles, he also played the title role in Roderick Fenske's short film Future Dave, and took on the role of Tony Blackburn alongside Keith Chegwin and Susannah Fielding in the British comedy horror film Kill Keith. I felt such relief knowing that what I had was a thing, because my immediate thought process on it was: if it’s a thing, you can fix a thing. Listening to real life as it has happened and is happening is living history and keeps us listening and wanting more, looking to the future with a hopefull smile. Sure thing, we don’t experience BPD’s symptoms the same way, it’s different for everyone but i still could relate on so many things written by Joe.
