The art was quite good. The artist was really good at capturing some great expressions, Ayako as the winner in the funny and OMG that facial expression. while talking about unrealistic support structures... how is every character ok with this?! Literally, there is no opposition in this story. Only your basic romcom silliness of the 2 leads bumbling around each other but again, glossing over the unique challenges this relationship could potentially create. At best the characters are only faced with 1 challenge which makes this story very linear and extremely shallow. Depth could be shown by how they created this support structure for this relationship but instead... we gloss over all of that and just sprinkle some glitter on it. I do like the story. I thought it was cute and fast paced but... there is one chapter I'm not sure on how to feel. It was awkward and pretty cringe and I'm kind of questioning if I want to continue because of it. My husband will be getting the next one, so who knows...

Nothing special aside from the attraction to another person who differ a lot in age. Ayako is trying to be a serious mother. Takumi is trying to look like a serious adult. It's basically only from my perspective that everything in this LN just a very flat romcom with nothing to be amazed of except the age gap romance concept. Story is about thirty-something woman that raised her sister's daughter after her sister and sister's husband died in an accident. It is standard story - serious, gorgeous looking woman devotes her twenties to raising a kid and have a good career and thus misses on her romantic life. And when her nephew comes of age she sees her in relation with the neighbor, [as it was supposed to be otherwise] good looking early twenty member of swimming team (did I say mushy, this is so eeeeeekkk for me, its like watching those romantic soap opera TV movies :))A hilarious manga! What happens when the boy you thought was perfect for your daughter…. actually liked you!! Now here comes the bad stuff, I do like Ayako, the female lead, however, she keeps lying to herself when time and time again, her worries are proven wrong, and she manages to drag out their relationship. Like girl, make up your mind already. You don't like him like you, but then you don't like it when he stops? Like I get that you love your "daughter" but I doubt she even gives an F. There is an age gap between Ayako and Takumi. Ayako tries her best to avoid Takumi's affections and to sway him from liking her... wholesome, that my hopeless romantic heart can not handle. And the other best character is the femboy. The art is very adorable, and cute as well, and I like how they put some depth into the characters, and the reasoning as the male lead loves her is very sweet. And I think the sexy boss lady is pretty cool too.

Imagine your childhood friend asks you for a time alone on a secluded place. Then they'll say, "I love- your mom." This is how I initially imagined it. And that got me baited into reading it. Changing Yourself For Love: Takkun fell in love with Ayako when he was ten, and resolved to better himself to become a person worthy of her love, who could protect her and help her raise Miu. He spent the next decade eating a balanced diet, becoming fit (he started swimming because Ayako mentioned "guys who swim are cool"), studying hard, and tutoring Miu, only confessing once he was in college. Date Peepers: After Ayako rejects Takkun, Miu tells her that he already got a girlfriend and has a date that day, telling her exactly when and where to make sure she follows them. Takkun spots her almost immediately, but it turns out he was seeing a movie platonically with his Crossdressing friend Ringou Satoya.

Kota Nozomi is a prolific writer in Japan known for a number of light novel series, including Are You Okay With a Slightly Older Girlfriend?, When Supernatural Battles Became Commonplace, and You Like Me, Not My Daughter?! Ayako is just the cutest and I love how much of an airhead she is. She seems really put together, but when one thing tip the balance to another point she is just lost and becomes confuzzled. I can imagine her reactions towards Takumi. I mean, she has always thought he would get married to Miu, that he would be the one for her. That he would join the family like that. She had these big imaginations about it. And then she finds out he wants her, I can imagine she is all frazzled. And so I had a laugh at all the things she tried to show him the reality of being with an older woman. And yes, these plans are hilarious. Especially the last one. XD Buxom Beauty Standard: It has been stated by many characters, and shown many times, that Ayako has a very impressive bust size. Rivalled only by her own Hartman Hips, if she had a smaller waist she would have an Impossible Hour Glass Figure.
