About this deal

It’s useful when you want to listen to music but also be aware of what’s happening around you, for example when you’re jogging but still want to be able to hear traffic. When paired to your device, you can press the LEFT or RIGHT bud 3x to activate your voice assistant feature at any time. There’s no battery level indicator for the earbuds or case (although there are battery indicator LEDs on the front of the latter) and you can’t switch EQ modes within the app. The combination of the two makes this one of the best fitting wireless earbuds I’ve tried (save for the Powerbeats Pro which has an over-ear hook).

At a glance, the earphones look like a pair of transparent AirPods Pro buds, but has plenty to offer no matter your mobile OS. Unfortunately, this is still true of the Skullcandy Indy (cyan), which has a frequency response that looks like somebody forgot to add any bass.

Alternatively, you can manually enable pairing mode by touching and holding the touch area on both earbuds for four seconds . You can also try one of the budget picks from Anker like the Soundcore Life A1 which makes up for all the bass lacking on the Indy with a IPX7 rating. The Skullcandy Indy Evo earbuds are one of four new wireless earphone options from the American audio manufacturer.

When you pair your headset a second time or to a subsequent device put the headset units into both ears. Their main downside is that they do not support wireless charging , but Skullcandy has the Indy Fuel model, a replica of the Indy Evo but with wireless charging.Issue: The biggest challenge with true wireless earbuds is ensuring your buds are properly connected to each other and your device. One of the big draws of Skullcandy headphones is that you can choose a colour that really suits who you are.

When I listen to Idioteque by Radiohead with the Indy Evo, I’m able to pick out little details, like the quiet synthesized percussion panned left at about 1:51, but not quite as well as I usually can. To make both earbuds connect, unpair the earbuds from your phone and hold the touch panels on both earbuds for six seconds until they turn off. My biggest issue with it is that it can be difficult to get the earbuds out without the stabilizing wings on. In her free time, you'll catch her travelling the globe – the perks of being a freelance tech expert – tending to her plants when at home and, but of course, planning her next big trip. The TILE® tracking feature will allow you to locate your earbuds if you’ve misplaced them or they have been taken.

I didn’t feel the effect was significant enough, however, to make it worth the effort switching from Movies mode. If you’re on the hunt for some cheap true wireless earbuds, then the Skullcandy Indy Evo are certainly worth taking a look at.As we noted previously, you don’t get active noise cancellation, although the passive effects are decent.
