About this deal

If you decide that a robot lawnmower just isn’t for you, after all, head over to our Top 9 Best Lawn Mowers For Small Gardens – Cordless, Electric and Push Mowers for a broad overview of your alternative choices for cutting your lawn.

The LawnSense function is one of my favourites, simply because it’s so clever. It enables the mower to recognise lawn growth. If your grass has been cut to perfection (which is a given when using the Flymo!), then the machine won’t take itself out for unnecessary drives around your lawn – it will leave things be until your grass actually needs to be re-cut. FrostSense Navigation - The mower navigates your garden easily. You can program start points for different cutting areas for more efficient navigation. It features PassageSense technology which lets it navigate through narrow passageways. LawnMaster – if you are looking for a robotic mower that is simple to set up and budget friendly, then the LawnMaster L10 may be the mower for you. The Rain Sensor works with the LawnSense program to pause all mowing schedules and have the mower return to base until the weather improves.

Specification

If the lawn has a hard to reach area such through a narrow passage way, the guide wire along with the PassageSense feature, ensures EasiLife will be able to travel through and cut these narrow areas too. This Flymo EasiLife 500 will not cut completely to the edge (only the bigger brothers have this functionality). To achieve a complete cut to edge, you are going to periodically need to trim your edges. To do this you will need to use the Best Cordless Grass Trimmer to suit you and your lawn’s requirements. By selecting Park, on either the App or on the control panel, the mower will disregard any other commands and return to the charging station. The 350 will also Park the mower by choosing Standby and pause operations for up to 18 hours. For example, if one section of your lawn is much bigger than others and will require more time to cut, you could set start point A to cut 60% of the time, the smaller section B to cut 30% and narrow section C to cut remaining 10%. This ensures a perfect cut quality across the whole lawn. You can adjust the frequencies at any time if the set-up requires fine tuning.

Before you get started, you will also need to set up your boundary wires. Pretty much all robot lawn mowers are supplied with these wires and pegs to secure them. You’ll lay the boundary wire around the area that you want the mower to work in, which is pretty simple. Don’t be worried about the wires creating a trip hazard as it is possible to bury them should you need. There are many benefits to mulching, please see my article on the benefits of mulching on the link below.

Summary

All the controls are hidden under panels on the top of the mower. And you do have to use these to program the unit as it doesn’t come with any form of wi-fi or Bluetooth app for your smart device. The keypad and screen are at one end of the mower and the single dial to adjust the cutting height is at the other end. You have a choice of seven cutting heights from 25mm to 55mm. This is more heights and a wider range from most other robot mowers, so you can be especially particular about how your lawn looks. Finally, depending on your model you may need to set up your mowing schedule, which can be done with either a keypad on the machine or through a mobile app. How Much Do I Need To Spend On A Robotic Mower? After the installation of the EasiLife App on your smartphone, there are some simple procedures to follow to get the hardware up and running:
