About this deal
I thought it will just stop in two chapters but it never did :/ i wouldn't have lost my time reading about rolando, gloria etc had i known they take like a hundred pages from the book.
Silvera continues to masterfully integrate diversity, disability, and young queer voices into an appealing story with a lot of heart.
It's a whopper at 550 pages long, but having said that chapters are very short and it's a surprisingly quick read. I'm not sure why it took me so long to read this book from Adam Silvera, given I enjoyed a few of his other ones.
If They Both Die at the End broke your heart and put it back together again, be prepared for this novel to do the same. And when I think that family or friends might die, my chest tightens, and a voice in my head screams NO. So much happens in this story, and given there's that element of disbelief or imagination or fantasy (an app predicting who will die each day), you kinda have to just go with it.
