About this deal

That is, the basic structure on which per sonology is built is the year it has been alive, and as far as we know it has largely been here on Earth.

Mr. Goldschneider was a brilliant but scattered polymath who completed his studies at Yale medical school but never practiced medicine and later became a concert pianist. He once played all 32 of Beethoven’s sonatas in one sitting for a crowd at a Philadelphia shopping mall, telling a reporter he was “spiritually guided” to give the concert. Out of all the books in the three I respect by Goldschneider, I love the Secret Language of Birthdays a little more since it appeals to everyone compared to just a few. Destiny is something everyone pursues but it is a general description given without any details to the person and as for relationships, well relationships are different among everyone and so the general is for a general understanding how two people will mesh. For the sake of clarity, the following rules have been adopted in The Secret Language of Birthdays birthday lists. OS birthdays are used in antiquity, and for those Europeans who died before the changeover took place to NS. Although astrologers disagree with this approach, arguing that April 3, 1421, was really April 12, 1421, it is this book's contention thatthe date of birth should be the one both accepted by government decree and celebrated by that individual at that time. In the special case of a small number of universal figures and astrologers, such as Nostradamus, who were aware of the difference or seem to have transcended their time, birthdays are given NS. Thus all historical birthdays are for the most part presented as OS until the change from OS to NS took place in that countty. British seventeenth century birthdays are thus OS even though other countries were ten days ahead. Wintertime people are less concerned with the state of the world as it is now and more with how it could and should be. A real reforming spirit can show itself in this personality, and an interest in matters concerning political and economic justice is very common." pg. 19Those born on the 9th of the month are ruled by the number 9 and by the planet Mars. The number 9 is powerful in its influence on other numbers (any number added to 9 yields that number: e.g., 5+9=14, 4+1=5, and any number multiplied by 9 yields a 9: e.g., 9x5=45, 4+5=9), and January 9 people are similarly influential. The planet Mars is forceful and aggressive, embodying male energy, but for January 9 people its influence can be colored by Saturn, ruler of Capricorn, which here grants seriousness of purpose but also potentially manipulative tendencies. The rhythm of the year is largely determined by the changing of the seasons as well as the lengthening and shortening of day and night. These solar changes are approximately the same every year. How, then, were the characteristics of the days established? To answer this question, it is first necessary to find out how astrologers have long established the characteristics of sun signs. Birthdays can be slippery customers indeed. In the entertainment field, for example, it was not uncommon for PR persons to give out Christmas or July 4 as a birthday in an att This approach is less deductive than inductive, for example, the question asked is not how Virgos are perceived. But what are people born on September 12 like?

Gary began his extensive career in the public eye with weekly performances on WCAU radio’s Children’s Hour at the tender age of two. Reciting Keats, Shelley, Wordsworth and other famous poets, he later did scripts and commercials which laid the foundation for public speaking and college lecturing later in life. Personology posits this central analogy: a day is a year is a lifetime is an age. It modifies conventional astrology in two ways--first in the empirical, earth-orientecl emphasis described above, and, second, in thinking about each sign as simply a further evolution of the one before it. In this way an astrological sign is really nothing absolute in itself but rather a spoke in the great wheel. Dane Rudhyar was the most important astrologer of our time to propose and clarify this idea. Because of this, a surprising number of people around the world not only know their signs but recognize their symbols in their daily lives. Certain sentences from my own entry (Sept. 29, “The Day of the Charged Reactor”) rattle around my head. Reading that Sept. 29 people “seem to have difficulty getting it together” is one reason I spent my 20s laser focused on my career. Thus, bringing astrology, history and psychology together in concentric cycles or spirals—stressing evolutionary rather than static models for the individual—is at the heart of personology. The personality types presented under the twelve signs, forty-eight periods and three hundred and sixty-six days (including the leap year extra clay) are flexible and fluid, each evolving from one to the next, constantly in motion, constantly changing, rather than fixed in stone.
