About this deal

It’s the fastest motorised Nerf dart blaster, unleashing 5 darts per second to rain down a deluge of darts onto targets! The “D” batteries are large and comparatively expensive too, so changing them regularly should be budgeted for. It is thought to be a successor to the N-Strike Elite RapidStrike CS-18, given the similarities in fully-automatic firing and clip loading.

This spinning action gives an effect similar to rifling in real fire-arms, giving you a tighter grouping and more predictable results. The Hyperfire has 20 screws in it's main body, the four in the conveyor belt do not need to be removed before disassembly.

Clearly this is an awesome toy, everyone in the house has played with it and it leads to squeals and laughter whatever age you are. The HyperFire was released in a Costco exclusive value pack that included the blaster, two twenty-five dart drums, fifty Elite Darts, and instructions.

The box had sat for a full day before I got to it, and he couldn’t concentrate on anything until it was opened and set up, but had to wait until I picked up my camera from the motorhome, where I’d forgotten to take it home from, and charged it up. As part of Hasbro Toy Tribe, we’ve received a lovely new toy to try, the Nerf n Strike Elite Hyperfire Blaster, for ages 8-16.

Unpacking the Hyperfire you will find, the blaster itself, a 25 round drum and 25 darts to feed into the drum. It did manage the claimed 27m range, but with wild inconstency and with no accuracy whatsoever out to that distance. Nerf brand blasters, alternative-brands, modifications, community made designs, competitive wars, Humans vs.

I’m glad they ship it with a 25 short drum, as a blaster that can fire this fast needs all that and more….

The N-Strike Elite Hyperfire Blaster is really easy to control, with an acceleration button/trigger to 'fire it up' and then a trigger to shoot. There’s a secondary trigger you have to hold in with your middle finger, which gets the motor spinning up – then you can squeeze the main trigger to set the foam a-flying. While I think it looks quite cool, the first thing that struck me was that it is seriously lacking in tactical rails – one compared to compared to its main rival’s four. I had heard about canted flwyheels, but didn't know what that meant until your pics; thanks for that. The age range is appropriate though, these darts don't half sting when they hit, and 6 year olds as a rule simply don't have the ability to be safe or accurate.
