About this deal

The pressure on a Vaillant boiler should be between 1 and 1.5 bar when the central heating is off and the radiators are cold. Correct Vaillant boiler pressure

If the pressure gauge is reading zero (or close to zero) your boiler needs to be repressurised to get it working. They do have manual pressure gauges also but they are useless to most people as they don’t have any numbers on them. Vaillant boiler pressure gauge Leave the drain off open and pop the front cover off the boiler. Now don't touch anything except for the red expansion vessel down the right hand side, looks kind of like a metal hot water bottle!! There should be one of these types of boiler filling loops under your Vaillant combi boiler, if not then it will be an external filling loop. Vaillant boiler filling loop closed Here is my situation: I have a Vaillant Ecotec pro 28 combi boiler that is about 6 years old. It is stored in the loft of a 3-bed house and until now I've never had any problems with it apart from a small amount of pressure loss which is so gradual I only needed to top it up every few months or so. I do this using the 2 valves underneath boiler as instructed by a plumber friend. A couple of weeks ago I switched the heating on (after it being off all Summer) and since then the pressure has been dropping pretty much every night so that in the morning there is an F22 fault code and the heating doesn't come on. To get around this I have been adding pressure as before and then the heating works again.Vaillant Ecotec Pressure Too High – note silver vessel inside the boiler on the right. This is the expansion vessel.

Compatible with aroTHERM air-to-water heat pump hybrid system - Making the perfect entry into renewable systems Vaillant is the only boiler manufacturer that I know of that doesn’t have numbers on the manual pressure gauges. Thank you so much everyone for your responses. I've read through the FAQ and it makes sense on the whole. I just have a couple of questions: Removable side panels and push-fit flue system - For improved accessibility and ease of installationOur boiler seems to run with little pressure so it may have been low for quite a while during the summer. The hot water on reflection wasn't as hot as it is once the pressure is topped up, which makes me think it has been like it a while. I've not been topping it up at all during the summer but last winter I had to top it up fairly frequently when we were using the heating - every 3-4 days maybe. I thought it was a slow leak. PUMP, HIGH-EFFICIENCY (IF THIS IS THE REPLACEMENT PART THEN PART NUMBER 0010030691 - CABLE IS ALSO REQUIRED)

If the expansion vessel diaphragm is faulty when the air valve is engaged then water should/will come out? Total system solution available from one manufacturer – Intelligent controls and accessories available If you need to repressurise your Vaillant boiler often you have a problem that you need to get fixed. To find out which it is, you can tie a carrier bag to the end of the copper blow-off pipe outside. Boiler blow-off pipeHowever if the system is under pressure then my understanding is that of course water would come out of the air valve and the person doing the job is trying to con me into getting unnecessary work?
