About this deal

Losing weight without compromising strength is a constant battle in motorsports, and dimple dies are one proven way to achieve both. Before being defeated by Mob, Dimple was a powerful upper-class evil spirit; he had stated he had gone through hellish battles to attain his power levels. [2] He showed the ability to regenerate from damage [3], transform different parts of his body [3], and even fire laser beams from his mouth. [2] However, he was still barely a match for powerful espers such as Mob, Keiji Mogami, and Teruki Hanazawa, although the latter was when he was already significantly weakened. Embossing Dies create an embossed shape in sheet metal with no pilot hole for strength and style. Good for material up to 16 gauge steel.

For the purpose of this article, we'll go through the process of using a hole saw to produce the hole for our dimple die. We've chosen a 20 mm dimple die which means that we need a matching 20 mm hole saw. Before drilling our hole we need to carefully mark the desired location for our hole and centre punch it to provide an accurate reference for the pilot drill of the hole saw to locate on. We can secure our workpiece in a drill vice and use our drill press to drill our 20 mm hole. Of course, that’s vastly oversimplifying things. As [Shane] explains in the video after the break, there are many nuances to forming sheet metal like this that need to be taken into account, and iteration and experimentation are basically unavoidable. So it’s a good thing you can rapidly redesign and reprint the dies. We’ve seen several people create custom dies for their brakes, and the results have shown the concept has merit for small-scale production. But that’s usually where the process ends. A bend here or there is one thing, but the ability to form a complex shape with them has always seemed like asking too much. But judging by his recent experiments, [Shane Wighton] is very close to changing that perception.Dimple wants to be a god. Specifically, he wants to be worshipped by all humanity. Despite having that kind of ego, he didn't hesitate to put himself at Mob's mercy in the hopes of using the boy to his advantage. At first, he wanted to steal Mob's body and use it to become a god, but he eventually decided to try to make Mob a god instead. We machined a flat on the female part so you can hold it in a vice for manual flaring or for use with a large spanner. All flares come with cap head bolts fitted as standard. We recommend the use of our UK made Q-Max hole punches in conjunction with the flares for ease of use and accuracy over hole saws. These are available to buy with each Flare on the dropdown menu to your right. Always deburr the hole first with a rotary deburrer (see other items) and use tapping oil or SD42 pressing lubricant for a perfect finish and tool protection. Flare Tools use the draw bolt method for forming the flare in a pre-drilled hole. Good for material up to 16 gauge steel. I started turning the punch side first and after turning OD to the 2" I began turning the nose where the punch fits into the hole in the table. I made it about 0.050" less in diameter and so when using the die set there is some slop…if I made another one I would make that nose a closer fit to the hole in the pan. Begin to press on the top die. As you continue to press down you will see the plate will deform. Do not be alarmed – the plate will return to flat once you have completed the process.Pro Tip: Plan ahead! If you're intending to dimple die a series of holes then it's important to work out your center spacing first to avoid to allow the clearance between the flares fouling on the ones that will be pressed next to it. Our proven and tested heat treating process ensures your dies will stand up to a lifetime of use – we guarantee it!
