About this deal

Timbral accuracy is very natural for vocals and acoustic instruments, in keeping with the D-Fi’s DD roots. In general sound/speaker stage dimensions, it has an above average width, decent height reach and sufficient depth on its perceived position between front to rear. It gives me a good head room with its more concave presentation as it has more depth in front. The Aria SE also has more treble roll-off which again brings mids and vocals into prominence. You might think it would also reduce the detail retrieval but it’s compensated by the attenuated bass level and ends up being similar to the EA500. Furthermore, the Aria SE’s upper mids sometimes come across as shouty due to the emphasis on the upper midrange. The vocals both male and female on a warmer source is perfectly weighted and hits a very rare balance between weight and airiness. The Simgot EA500 boasts an engaging, punchy bass that is boosted slightly above neutral. It’s well-defined and full-bodied, never intruding or smothering the mids and highs. The sub-bass and mid-bass are balanced linearly, resulting in a natural weight and effortless transition between the two.

The Titan S are a neutral-bright pair of IEMs. They have a more marked sub-bass roll-off but are more analytical and technical than the Star River. As a matter of fact, the Titan S are a cut above when it comes to imaging, micro-detailing, clarity, and instrument separation. Female vocal is even more lively compared to red ring nozzle, this is due to an early rise on the upper mids, i find the female vocal to be very enjoyable on this nozzle, but i can’t say the same for those who are sensitive with the upper mids boost, do take into consideration that your experience might vary Customers are to bear the consequences and fees incurred, if the parcel was undelivered due to any of the following situation: In fact, the EA500 is so efficient that I cannot swap between the Stellaris and a few other IEMs and then swap in the EA500 without first making sure I drop the volume down. The nozzle filters are screwed on – the red filter is on by default. The 2-pin connectors are slightly recessed into the housing. Please note that aftermarket cables with qdc connectors will not work with such recessed 2-pin ports. The nozzle can be screwed off and swapped. These two sets are literally like oil and water. The EA500 boast superior timbre and tonality. Technical chops are better on the EA500 – they have improved instrument separation, micro-detailing, and clarity. Imaging is, however, superior on the Star River. The housings are teardrop shaped, with an elegant asymmetrical pattern on the faceplate, and are tasteful compared to the usual run-of-the-mill budget gear. The D-Fi have gold-plated 2-pin connectors. Comfort The mid-bass is quite agile, though texturing is average, with some mid-bass bleed present. Midrange While the first tuning profile is the lesser of two evils, that’s a low bar to clear, and the Star River are a disappointment in tonality, timbre, and technicalities. Bass

Simgot EA500 : r/iems - Reddit I Really Like The Simgot EA500 : r/iems - Reddit

I did not find driver flex, but this may depend on the ear tips used and your ear anatomy. Isolation is below average because of the vented housing. Internals I can see a EA500 CULT being born and have a following like the OH10 a IEM that you wont ever sell.At 123 dB/Vrms sensitivity, the EN1000 are very easy to drive and should run well out of most budget dongles. Anything with 1Vrms or higher voltage swing should be sufficient. Comparisons Vs Dunu Kima In keeping with the V-shaped profile, the lower midrange is recessed. The previously mentioned mid-bass bleed warms this area, though the midrange is opaque due to the bass encroachment.

vs iKKo OH10: OH10 is failing compared to Simgot EA500 in many parameters. It’s hard to call it nice and move along, when EA500 is present. Oh10 is a wide angle for sure, almost U shaped, but EA is like W. Many people have already begun modding their EA500’s with “Y3” Filters placed over the front vent or gone with different tips or even nozzle filters. The great thing is the flexibility the EA500 has with any modification or change. Timbre isn’t 100% natural either (off-natural) though because the sound is so resolute and clean it almost doesn’t matter to me. I think the sound fantastic on this set. Treble Region Although I had a fairly modest experience in regards of the whole Simgot line-up, having only tested its higher model which was the EN1000. Despite, this is not a direct comparison to the EN1000 but the humble EA500 has an ergonomically much comfier fit and design compared to the EN1000, I did still have to take them off though occasionally after a while due to its size and slightly heavier nature which causes my ears to sore especially around the cochlea region. Isolation were also wasn’t a key prowess of the EA500, it filters out noise fairly decent. Based on my personal experience I could hear much of the things going on within my surroundings, this of course depends on how secure one could fit the large chassis of this IEMSince this unit tour was organised by the kindly people at Linsoul, I am grateful to them. And as I've said in all of my evaluations, the same is true for this one: all of the concepts I've expressed below are entirely my own, original ideas that haven't been influenced by anyone else. Tests were done with a Khadas Toneboard DAC -> Schiit Asgard 3 amp, Creative Sound Blaster X5, E1DA 9038, Questyle M15, Colorfly CDA M1, Truthear SHIO, Apple dongle, smartphone, Hiby R3 Pro Saber 2022 DAP, Shanling M0 Pro DAP, and Sony NW A-55 DAP (Walkman One mod) using FLAC and WAV files. I thought it was actually a really cool design for a portable music player, with those slight curves on the top left and bottom right, but the top right and bottom left were standard right angles! Hey, SIMGOT! Design a portable music player that looks like that for me! The cable is alleged to be high quality. I choose to believe it, even though I am not a chemist, but I am a firm believer in Simgot tech and how it has worked in the past. Honestly, I enjoy most of the male vocals that I hear, especially on a song like “ Broken Halos” by Chris Stapleton. His voice has great southern gusto and good presence with a distinctness and the EA500 does well to replay his naturally edgy vocal delivery. It does his voice great justice and displays Chris’s edgy, raspy, but distinct sound so very well. It sounds clean and just forward enough to illuminate the scratchy, strident and coarse southern richness of his voice while adding just enough boisterous underlying levity to the harmonics. The inflection in his voice is precise and timely as the accentuated wave like intonations that Chris sings with stays at the foreground of the melody and balances nicely with how I envision this recording was meant to be heard. They have a solid aluminum alloy build with a two-part shell design held together by screws. The faceplate logo has an iridescent shine under certain lighting conditions. I find such subtlety alluring. These earphones/IEMs are designed for discerning music lovers. If you are someone who cares about audio quality deeply, you'll want a pair of earphones/IEMs like these. You can expect them to present a Hi-Fidelity listening experience. The lower treble continues on from the over-zealous upper midrange, and the treble has moderate extension thereafter. The Star River are not too sparkly or airy on the first tuning option, and on the second tuning option (red/blue graphs), the treble drops off a cliff. There sounds like a bit more air and extension in the highs of the Simgot EA500 making female vocals clearer.EA500’s tonality is leaning towards neutral with slight warmth to my ears. Timbre sounds very natural to my ears and it has quite a good body to it overall with sufficient note weight to it. Good tuning in my opinion, musical sounding at the same time with good technicalities. Vocal clarity is just slightly more resolving and natural because of the added mid bass on the EA500 with a slightly more forward presentation both have outstanding vocals. I will compare the D-Fi against other budget DD types that are tunable. Planars, hybrids, and pure BA IEMs are omitted, as the different transducers have their own pros and cons. The comparisons below are made with the D-Fi on the least bassy position. Vs. Simgot EA500 Frequency response graph of the Simgot EA500 via an IEC711-compliant coupler. 8kHz is a coupler artifact peak. Bass is quite agile and textured on the bass-lite variations. On the flip side (no pun intended), once the bassiest configuration is in place, the bass becomes muddy and ponderous. Midrange
