About this deal

In 2020 a limited edition was launched (which I have not tried) which came in a pink box and removed the number 3 from the label, currently the bottle is still being sold without the number 3 on the label, without limited edition engraved on the bottle and back to its simple white box. Designer fragrances have been a little to sharp/headache inducing for me over the last few years but this doesn't bother me at all. there's no peach note here, but likely the "juicyness" of this frag translates over to that to my nose.

The beauty of this is definitely in the dry down and how it smells better on clothes than on your skin here you can smell a sweet musk. So can someone enlighten me about this; L’imperatrice EDT (without 3 and Limited Edition written on bottle or the box), does this smell the same as original ‘L’imperatrice 3’ one? The rhubarb and cyclamen notes are the ones that sold me on this one and it didn’t disappoint because I can feel them both, on my skin and on clothes. A mouth-watering concoction of fresh watermelon and juicy kiwi is offset by the drama of a pink cyclamen for an exhilarating fragrance sensation. The bad thing is that it may be too sweet and artificial for some people (almost like Escada perfumes). I was pleasantly surprised at first but then it reminded me of the most generic aroma you put in a reed diffuser.

It’s not my vibe at all, but if you are someone whose favorite activity is going to expensive dinners next to the beach then this one will work great.

To my sensitive nose this isn't irritating at all, does not make me sneeze etc (which many perfumes do). Try sampling if possible, as the tart berry accord in this (which some people equate with the BO smell) could be a deal breaker for you.

It might've had something to do with pH though, because I gave my bottle to my mother-in-law and it smelled great on her. In fact, those scents are almost identical to me, except L'imperatrice is lighter and isn't as sweet. I have a feeling this is a familiar scent, a scent that I have experienced many years back but I still cannot pinpoint it (I love perfume memories, even when they are not clear!

Nobody I've asked has been able to detect this particular odor in the perfume except for me, but I dislike it so much, I stopped wearing it for a while. until winter was almost over, so close to spring I could taste it - and wearing L'Imperatrice now, I remember why I enjoy this perfume.
